I fumble around in the grass trying to find his hand. Once our touch is reunited, I smile, turning lazily in the sunshine to look at him. He's so beautiful. He is already looking at me. His smile is so natural, and as a tear creeps out of the inner corner of his eye and across his face, I feel the need to wipe it away.
"Tomi." I utter, pushing my fingers through his hair that now falls over his forehead. He's given up on the quiff.
"I missed you so much." He whispers, before his eyes well up again. "So. Much."
I can't help it, I roll closer to him and kiss him.

And there we lay, kissing in the grass on a hot summers day.

"Ewww!" Kai's voice rang from above us, ruining the moment.

"You little-!" I start, leaping up and grabbing him, tackling him and pulling him down with me onto the floor. He giggles in lots, taking a gasp in between them. Tomi crawls quickly towards us, laughing.

I sit up, and I see my mum and dad standing by the table, kissing, with cups of lemonade in hand. They can't keep their hands off of eachother. Mum knows it all now. What dad is. What I was. Where I was. Who I was. But all that has changed. It doesn't matter anymore.
The only thing that matters is this moment with these people.

I feel a hand on my shoulder and I look up. Macy is stood above me in her floral dress, holding three cups of lemonade, passing me one.
"Thanks Mace." I smile at her.
She sits down next to me.
"You know, I really missed you, Ethan." She starts.
"I know." I say, watching her carefully.
"I thought you had killed yourself. I was so... so angry. And sad." Her voice quivers, and I rest a hand on top of hers.
"I know." I say again. "But I'm here now. And I'm never leaving again."
"You better not." She says, resting her head on my shoulder and sighing. "You better not."
I smile.
"I won't."
