Feeling in December

Chapter 2

Joey's POV~
I wake up to the sound of my phone ringing. I quickly answer it so I don't wake up Seth. "Hello?" I say tiredly. "Hey dude ready to go Christmas shopping for your girl and stuff?" I groan. "Oh hey Chris and yeah I'll be ready in a sec see ya then." I hang up the phone and get out of bed. I stand and stare out the window forgetting I'm butt naked. The neighborhood pokes his head out his window. I stand there smiling and gave him a welcoming wave. He runs away from the window. I wonder why then I look down. "Oh dang". I head to the bathroom. I shut the door and laugh at myself for forgetting I was naked. I get in the shower then i put clothes on.

Once I'm done in the bathroom I go to the kitchen and make toast. While eating my toast I make a note to Seth saying I headed out to go Christmas shopping. I finish my breakfast, grab a water, then run outside. I see Chris waiting to pick me up in the parking lot. "Hey Chris how long you been out here?" I ask kinda feeling bad for making him wait a little while. "I wasn't out here long I would have been in my car if it was that long, it's freezing out here" I laugh at him.

We get in the car and drive off. When we get to the mall I hop out and and start struggling on the ice. We finally get in the mall, "thank god it was freezing out there" I exclaim. "Where do you wanna go to first?" Chris asks as I look around the mall for a good store to go to. I see Aeropostale in the distance. "Let's check out Aeropostale first!" I get excited to get things for everyone. "Okay let's go then" Chris starts heading in that direction. I follow behind him slowly, checking out the mall as we walked. We get to Aeropostale and I see all these outfits that either I could wear or give to Chris or Seth. I find this cute little outfit for Seth and buy it also I find this sexy swim suit for her and a matching one for me and buy those. Chris finishes up and we look for the next store. "Hey look American Eagle let's go there next!" Chris exclaims. "Okay let's go" we get to American Eagle and I find outfits that Chris would love so I buy them and try to hide them so he doesn't find out. Once we're done there we look around the mall just wondering. I see a jewelry store, "hey Chris we should check out that store, you can find something for who ever and I can find something for Seth" I ask. "Yeah that's a perfect idea" we rush in the store searching for the perfect gifts. I spot the perfect set of sapphire ear rings with a matching necklace and ring. "It's beautiful and will brighten Seth's eyes" I think to myself. "How much do these cost?" I ask the store owner kinda nervous about the price. "That set cost around 2,000 dollars" he said. I know I can barely afford it but I still buy it knowing she'll love it. "Hey Chris how's your shopping going?" I ask while walking over. He puts something away and pays. "I'm done now" he nervously laughs. We walk to the mall food court. "Where do you wanna eat?" He asks. "I don't know how about subway cause I am trying to eat healthy" I laugh and am kinda serious. "Good choice" he says back.

We head to subway but I see Seth and her best friend Sam. "Chris quick hide now" we rush into a random store and duck and cover. They pass by and we look around and see people staring at us. We suddenly realize were hiding in a Victoria secret. We quickly get out and go back to subway. We order and sit down. We both bust out laughing, everyone staring at us again. I take a bite. "How dumb are we?" I ask stupidly. "Very" he answers. We sit there and finish our food quietly. When we're both done we head to the car.

On our way back we jam out to wild boy by MGK. We get back after jamming out to a variety of songs. "Hey we should put up Christmas decorations so that Seth will be surprised" I get excited just thinking about it. "That's a great idea" Chris says. First I pull out my phone and text Seth saying I'm home then me and Chris start wrapping presents.

We finish wrapping and start decorating the house. I hang the stockings and wreathe up. Then we both work on the tree and the lights. Chris puts up the garland, we make the house beautiful. Chris is finishing up the top of the tree while I keep the ladder steady. It wobbles a bit and Chris slips and falls. I try to catch
him but he lands on me. Our lips smash into each other. I feel excruciating pain and I feel a strange liquid rolling out of my nose. Chris gets up his face bright red covering his mouth. "I'm so sorry!" He says rushing into the kitchen to get a tissue. He comes back and hands me some tissues. "Again I'm so sorry" he says. "It's ok" I laugh. "Just let's try not to mention it to Seth" I say. "Ok that is perfectly fine." He finished his job by putting the finishing touch on the tree.
Later we're listening to music and finishing up wrapping other presents and admiring our work. I get a text from Seth.

*Seth: Is it safe for me to come home? Lol
*Me: Yes I'm done wrapping everything. For you at least. 😝😁
*Seth: 😊 OK I'll see you in about 40 mins. 😘
*Me: OK babe see you when you get here 😍😘

I look up to see what Chris is doing, I see him putting stuff away. "You leaving Chris?" I ask. "Yeah I better get home before it gets too dark so I don't crash" he says. "True" I say laughing. "Well see ya later then" I say hugging him and wave him off. I head back inside and turn on American Horror Story and let it play.

Later I hear knocking on the front door and open it letting Seth in. "Hey babe how was your day" I ask while helping her by taking a few presents. I set the presents down then help her take her coat off. "It was fine but very tiring a lot to think about" she replies. We both head inside and sit on the couch to watch American Horror Story. She lays her head on my lap and drifts asleep while I stay there finishing up the show.

Once the episode is over I pick her up gently and lay her in our bed. I kiss her forehead. "Goodnight babe" I whisper in her ear. I take all of my clothes off and get in the bed. I lay there for a little while before going to bed.
