Chapter 4

The next morning Seth wakes up and starts getting ready for another day of school. She writes Joey a note telling him good morning and to have a great day. She makes Joey a cup of tea as for herself as well. She sits joeys tea in the microwave and sets a time so all he has to do is hit start when he wakes up. She grabs her book bag and heads out to the book shop across the street from the school.

She's spends about 20 mins in there before finding a book, she pays for the book and heads to the school. Again like most days she's early but she's never the first one there. She spots Delilah their sit from yesterday. "Good morning Delilah". Seth gives Delilah a warm greeting smile. "Good morning Seth". Delilah returns the smile. Then studies the book Seth is holding. Seth notices and looks down at the book. "Oh this I just bought it from across the street it's stalking Jack the Ripper" by Kerri Maniscalo. "Oh cool. So you like mystery/thriller crime solving books". Seth nods her head and smiles. "They're quite intriguing". "I like them myself, along with fan-fiction as well". She laughs. "Fan fiction is pretty cool. I don't read much of it but the ones I have are cool". Seth says as she sits her stuff beside her chair and takes her seat as our professor enters the room.

"Students you may practice or recite your scripts". Delilah and Seth decide to go out in the hall to practice. They slide a table from the class outside and two chairs. Once they had everything right they began. Class flew by so quickly. They were having so much fun. They would mess up and just laugh, soon they could almost have their lines perfect without looking, sometimes they'd just goof around. The dismissal bell goes off and they realize what time it is. They push the table back in the class and pack their things. "We're going to the cafe still tonight right?" She asks. "Oh yea. Dang I almost forgot. But yea we can still go". " OK cool how does 5:30 sound?" "Sounds great. I'll see you at 5:30". Seth say as they part ways.

Its almost 2. And Seth skips her usual stop at the cafe considering she'll be going later tonight. She heads straight home. Seth texts Joey to see if he's home or if he's at work.

*Me: hey babe you home or working
*Joey: I'm still home I'm about to get ready and then head to work. Why?
*Me: would you make me a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Pwease 😊😄😃😁
*Joey: yes I can make you a sandwich. 😑😘
*Me: thx babe😘
*Joey: welcome. 😘

She takes the subway home instead of walking. She gets home around 2:30 and sees a plate with her peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Excited about eating it, she quickly goes to it and sees a note from joey saying that he left and went to work. Seth eats the sandwich and sits down to watch TV. Not satisfied by the sandwich she goes and he sour cream and onion chips. She sits back down on he couch and can't find anything interesting and decides to play GTA 5 on Joey's Xbox One. Instead of doing the missions she just steals cars, robs other people, and run from the police. After a few hours of playing she realizes that its only 4:47 and she has a little of a half of an hour still. She switches back to TV and desperately searches for something to make time pass by faster. Her phone dings from across the room. She gets up and expecting it to be Joey saying he's gonna be working late. But its an unknown number.

*(434)389-2345: is 5 OK instead of 5:30
It takes Seth a moment but she realizes its Delilah.
*Me: yea 5 is fine.
*Delilah: ok great, see you soon.

Seth grabs her coat and texts Joey letting him know that she going to the cafe to meet up with Delilah to discuss the stuff about their project. Seth walks to the cafe. It's cold and she can see her breathe she regrets not taking the subway but she see's the cafe already. Rushing she walks a little faster trying to get in the warmth and and great welcoming smell of coffee in the building. As she gets closer she can see Delilah sitting at a table by the windows and waves getting Delilahs attention before heading inside. Seth heads towards where Delilah is seated and sits next to her. "Man its freezing out there". Seth laughs while rubbing her arms trying to warm them. " how far did you walk?" " well I'm just 2 or 3 blocks. Not that far just seems like it when its freezing". "Oh OK. Well I live in those apartments right over there". She points at the apartments. Almost right in front of the cafe. " oh cool".

They read over the script for almost 3 hours and telling each other what could be done differently and better. The cafe closed at 8 and it was 7:45 but they were having such a great time they weren't only going over the script they were getting to know each other and Delilah's child hood stories made Seth's stomach started to hurt she was laughing so much. "Hey want to come to my apartment and we could finish our conversation?". Delilah asked. "yea that sounds great".
Seth orders a chai tea to go and they run across the street dodging traffic.
They make it across the street and head up to the 8th floor level where Delilah lived on.

Delilah unlocks and opens the door to a cute little brick wall apartment. It looked like one of those tumble rooms where artist and musician lived in. She had paintings all over her walls, white Christmas lights lining the top creases of her walls, she had a piano at on corner of the apartment and guitars at the other. It was such a cute and small apartment it only had 2 rooms the other was the bathroom. The kitchen was separated by the bar like counter , instead of a living room it was her bedroom and to top everything off she had a huge wall that was nothing but a big window that looked down on the city and all of its beauty's. It was such a cute, warm, and cozy apartment. The only lighting they were using. Were the lights hanging from the seams of her wall.

They sat on Delilahs bed talking. Forgetting about the project and just keep talking about each others lives and how they ended up on the acting career and so on. There was a pause between them and Seth just smiled. "I'm so glad I got paired with you Delilah you're funny, cooperative, and just straight up amazing. Oh and I love your apartment". Seth continues to look around admiring everything. When Delilahs light giggling brought her attention back to her. There was another slight pause. When Delilah slowly started to lean in closer. Until their faces were inches away from each other. " I'm glad as well". She goes to close gap by placing her lips upon Seth's but Seth jumps up off the bed before she's able to kiss her. "Ummm..I-Im not gay". Seth says very shaky as her heart beats faster and faster. "Oh my god......I'm so sorry I didn't.... I didn't know umm". Delilah stuttered not looking at Seth. " I'm gonna go. I'll see you tomorrow". Seth walks to the door. Delilah looks up at Seth leaving. "I'm really sorry". Seth gives Delilah a half of a smile before opening the door and leaving. Shocked by every thing that had just happened she stands outside the door for a minutes to let everything sink in. She takes a deep breath and walks to the elevator and gets on. As she's going down she looks at her phone its almost 11 and she had 5 texts and 3 missed calls from Joey. So I text him back to reassure him that I'm OK and that I'm sorry for not answering.

*Joey: hey you still at the cafe?
*Joey: its almost 9:30 doesn't the cafe close at 8
*Joey: hey please pick up you're phone.
*Joey: I know you're probably fine I just want to make sure you are. So please call back.
*Joey: Seth? Its almost 10:40 please call me.
*Seth: I am soooo sorry I'm on my way home now. I completely lost track of time and we had gone to her apartment to finish stuff up. I'm really sorry.
*Joey: its OK I'm glad you're alright you really scared me and for that I'm gonna call you so I know you make it home early OK.
*Seth: ok. 😁

Joey calls Seth and talks to her the whole time she walks home and she tells him about Delilah and what she learned but she doesn't tell him about what she tried to do she doesn't feel he has to know. Seth makes it home and heads up to their apartment its almost 12 when she finally reaches the door. When she goes inside joey tackles her with hugs and carries her to bed. "Don't scare me like that ever again". Seth smiles at him. "Ok". He smiles and then kisses her. They pull away from each others grasp to breathe before just sitting there and cuddling. Seth ends up falling asleep while Joey traces his finger up and down her arm.
