A wish upon a...Chicken?

Another day, another boring bunch of lessons at school. That's the first thing that comes into my mind at the beginning of every normal school day. But today wasn't a normal day, even though it started like one. I had my golden hair in a ponytail, and I was wearing a white shirt with a black hoodie and jeans. When I got to school, nobody noticed me at all, as usual. Class, however, was when it changed.

Our homeroom teacher, for whatever random reason, had decided to get us a classroom pet. Not a mouse, or hamster, or even a turtle. No, they thought that it would be interesting if we got a chicken as our class pet. Well, everyone else liked the idea, so we kept it, and they even decided it has to be taken home and cared for every week by a student. Guess who the teacher picked? (Hint: starts with M. Ends in E.)

Anyway, after school, I had to stay behind to pick up the chicken (we didn't have a name for them yet), and decided to play Pokemon on the way home. It was an intense battle against the champion, [By the power of the Author, I have blocked this part to stop spoilers.] After what felt like hours, We're both down to our last Pokemon. His Incineroar, and my Decidueye. I was about to select my next move, when my 3DS was snagged out of my hands.

"Well, well, well. What do we have here?" the person holding my 3DS said, followed by snickers from her lackeys. It was Maddie Widowsworth, the teenage female version of Bowser, except you can't beat her. Not many people personally like her, probably not even her gang of followers. I just think they hang out with Ms. Bully because they're scared of her. She's pretty, popular, smart, athletic, and a pain in my behind.

She looked at what was on my Ds, smirking. "So, you like Pokemon, huh?" She chuckled, before throwing my Ds to the ground, open. I pushed her out of the way, to see that my 3DS was almost split in two, with a broken screen that just showed nothing. My eyes filled with tears as Maddie and her group laugh as they walk away. All I worked on, all I truly cared about, broken. And I couldn't do anything to fix it.

I picked up the chicken and ran home, up the stairs, into my room and proceeded to my bed. Tears started to land on my pillow. Why me? I thought to myself, as I continue to almost bawl my eyes out. Why out of all people does it have to be me? "Ba-cawk?" The chicken clucked, looking at me.

I stared at it, my eyes not getting any dryer. "You have it easy, you know." I sniffed. "All you have to worry about is eating and laying eggs." I looked out the window. It had already become dark, but there was no stars at the moment. "And I'm stuck in this boring, miserable life I don't even want to be in. I just wish..." My voice trailed of as the first star appeared outside. I closed my eyes and wished.

I wish I could go somewhere better then this. Somewhere I can be me. Somewhere like the Pokemon world.

As I slowly started to fall asleep, I could here a small voice whisper into my ear. "Are you sure that is what you want, Evie?" I opened my eyes to see the small ball of light from earlier. "A-are you real? Am I dreaming?" I asked, getting up, as The light grew a bit bigger "This is no dream, Evie. I am here to help you with your dreams." It soon was my size, and was even shaped sort of like me. It put out a hand, and spoke. "Take my hand, Evie, and you can have your wish." I didn't know what else to do, or what was going to happen, but there was a chance to get me a slightly better life...

And I took that chance.

This also happened to me. Well, sorta. My 3Ds was old, and even has some parts broken, making it a bit hard to use. Only a few weeks ago, the top screen just completely stopped working. What's worse is that I had just beaten the main storyline of Pokemon Sun and Moon a few days before.😢

Rest in pastrami my 3DS. 2013-2016.

Bye for now, everyone!
