"I see swimming pools and living rooms and aeroplanes
I see a little house on the hill and children's names
I see quiet nights poured over ice and Tanqueray
But everything is shattering and it's my mistake"
Jimin saw red. He felt anger pulsating through his vein. Red was the colour which best described the tempest slowly building up in Jimin's head. Who the hell did Yoongi think he was. How could he randomly say something like that to Jimin. For the first time in a year Jimin had thought that maybe he could make a conversation with someone out of his comfort zone but Yoongi had turned it to an argument. Jimin was angry on Taehyung too. His best friend was going to receive an earful from him for dragging him into such an uncomfortable situation.
Jimin had heard those exact words before in a not so distant past. Immediately his life had changed. He had lost everything that was near and dear to him. How could he respond to Yoongi when his chest was break from an excruciating pain.
Moving back to Seoul had been Jimin's dad Shi Jin's idea. Jimin had wanted to leave behind Busan and everything that had messed up his life in that city and never look back. He had thought that moving back home would give him some peace but he was wrong. Whatever Jimin did made him feel trapped. Jimin could barely make a conversation with a stranger. Yoona, his mom had asked Jimin to move in with them but Jimin had refused. After all he was an adult and he could take care of himself. Taehyung had saved him when he had moved to Seoul too after getting the job of the head of the Music Production Department at Big Hit. Taehyung's paycheck had helped him to find a luxurious apartment and he had asked Jimin to stay with him which Jimin had accepted. Jimin had wanted to share the price of the apartment but Taehyung had absolutely refused and told him that he was keeping Jimin, that would save him the cost of a cook since Taehyung absolutely sucked at cooked. Jimin had rolled his eyes and persuaded Taehyung to share the bills with him. The best thing about living with Taehyung was that he mostly stayed out due to deadlines and Jimin would have the whole house to himself and some quiet.
Yoona would often call her son to hang out with them. At the beginning Jimin would go frequently but slowly he restricted it to only on the weekends. He knew that his parents loved him but he could see the worry clearly etched on Yoona's face whenever he would notice her looking at him. Jimin would mostly spend his time walking through the city. He had found a job as an art teacher in a kid's centre which required him to go to work only four days a week. On one such day he had found Seokjin's café. Seokjin's café was small but due to Jin, the owner's warm personality Jimin felt comfortable there. Jin had tried to talk to Jimin one day but Jimin's lack of social skills had ruined the whole thing.
Everything was going fine until Min Yoongi entered his life. The older male raised feelings in Jimin which he hated to admit. The first day when Jimin had been mocked by Yoongi because of his plain order, Jimin had been angry on Yoongi. He wanted to complain to Jin but the thought of making Jin understand the whole thing discouraged him. He had decided to ignore Yoongi but slowly he had also started to anticipate the hour he spent in the café. He would always think on his way to the café what flavor muffin Yoongi would serve him that day and Jimin would always be in for a surprise. He did not even know so many different flavours of muffin existed in the first place. Jimin was almost sad the day Taehyung had called him to hang out at his office. He had thought he would have to bunk his café hour that day. Jimin did not understand what made him feel so.
