' A ROOM TO HOLD PARTIES OVER EIGHT PEOPLE '
Daystar
Waking up staring at the ceiling, my surroundings were unfamiliar. That is, until I looked over to my left, seeing Jada peacefully asleep. How'd I end up in the bed? Anyway, Pops said Jada and I had to be to work at 12 and it was currently nine o'clock. This'll give me time to go home and change. I walked downstairs to my car. I'm not ready to face Camilla yet, she'll probably kill me.
I inched my way to my house, I wasn't in a rush to have things thrown at me and be called out my name. A half an hour later, I reached the cribbo. Here goes nothing.
I sighed, jiggling the keys and unlocking the door. Camilla sat upright on the couch and stared at the tv. I walked past her like everything was normal. She didn't say anything to me, I didn't say anything to her. That's how it usually went when we argued.
I went into the bathroom for a quick shower and then changed into my uniform.
"Where were you, Daystar?" Camilla asked me. It sounded like she'd been crying.
"You was tripping last night so I spent the night at Jada's." I shrugged.
"Day, let me ask you. Do you love her?"
"Of course I love her, she's like my sister."
"Not like that. I see how you get whenever you bring her up. It's like your whole mood changes. Your whole family loves her, so why not be with her?"
"Bruh. It's not like that, nor will it ever be like that. So cut that shit out. Imma handle you when I get home." I grabbed her chin and kissed her. She'd always act out like this and I'd always be the one to fix it.
I made my way back to Jay's apartment. It was now eleven o'clock, so imma need for her to hurry the fuck up.
"Damn Jay you ain't ready yet?!" I yelled through her closed bathroom door. "You just going to work!" I continued.
She hurriedly opened the door.
Well damn. She shut me right up.
"Dang Day, I just wanna look good for myself! Is that a crime?!" she asked, pushing her hair behind her ear.
Hell yeah. "Naw, it's not. Just hurry up. I ain't tryna have Pops on our asses today. I just wanna get off."
"Okay." she looked at me, with her bottom lip cocked to the side. That's the look she gives me when she thinks I'm lying. I wasn't lying though, I didn't feel like working today. I'm glad I had tomorrow off!
We made it to work with ten minutes to spare.
"Son! You're just in time! A bunch of business moguls are having lunch here! I'm gonna need both you and Jada to wait the table, is that okay with you?" my dad asked.
