"Sammy did you have a father figure?" Natasha asked getting me by surprise.
'Well the general in a way was one. But was not all there. The President was one. I miss him he cheered me up when I was nervous and didn't want to get the medals. One day I was getting a medal everything was good until the end. The ceremony was done and me and the president were talking. I caught eye of a sniper and pushed him down. I ended up being shot two inches above my heart. I dug the bullet out of my chest so it can heal. He was watching me do it. After I took it out you can here a pop from a bone fixing itself. I remember seeing his face when that happened. However it didn't really hurt. He told me to come the day before I go to Iraq to get my medal. Also that he will get me a new uniform. He designed my uniform with the help of his wife and daughter. That's how I got my name the Presidential soldier. He was like a dad to me. He said that I was his little soldier. I got back to Iraq and the first night I was blown back by a bomb while on patrol. I was then shot eight times in earache leg and then put a cover over my head. I was thrown into a cell with another man that was MIA for two weeks. We were watching and waiting for a opportunity to escape. I was there for three weeks as Pu the other man was there for five weeks. He had a wife and son at home. So I knew I had to get him home safe. I killed the guards and grabbed there things. We ended up blowing up the base with grenades. We blew up the vehicles so we had to walk back to camp. The base we were at was on the other side of the country. It was a week before we got to camp. Paul got sent home so he can be with his family. I had gotten called over the general. The president was on the phone. I got yelled at then told a mission to go undercover. I was to be undercover and act like I was going to sign a surrender contract. But I snuck in the airfield and found the plane I was supposed to get. I was busy getting the plane started up in the air to notice three enemy solders in the back setting up a bomb. I took them out but not before the last dude started the count down clock. I couldn't shut it down. If I touched the wording it will set it off. The bomb was connected to the rest of explosives. The damage it could make is equivalent to a nuclear bomb. I had to get it out of reach of people. I called into the camps radio signal. I was telling them my situation. And telling my last words. I could remember the voice that were yelling at me saying there are other ways. That they can help me disarm the bomb. I plunged into the icy water as I heard the general call through saying that he loved me like a daughter. I felt everything. I was frozen I closed my eyes waiting for my final moment. When they thawed me out when the last ice left my body I opened my eyes. I was wearing my formal uniform. And found the news of missing twenty years of my life. I failed my promises to come back from the war. I failed the promise to come back and have dinner with Caleb's parents.' I said. I cried remembering everything. All the pain hit me at once. The pain of all the explosives and bullet wounds. I feel as though I can runaway and start fresh. I cried out all the pain until I couldn't anymore. Natasha stood there in shock at what I said. I could feel the bond with everyone strengthening. As they give me strength to live on.
