After his mom let him go from the hug and he calmed himself down as best he could, Mikey sat down at the kitchen table with his mom going over everything he needed to know. God he was so happy, his wide grin didn't leave his face once since finding out and his hand never moved from it's resting spot on his stomach."I know you won't like this but you can't have coffee," Donna told him.
"Not even just a sip?" asked Mikey exasperated.
"Michael James Way-Wentz don't you even think about it. It is for the sake of the health of your baby. You can drink decaf after the first trimester is over but until then not a drop. It can cause you to miscarry if you do before the second trimester. You don't want to cause them harm now, do you?" scolded Mama Way.
"No Mama, I don't want them to be caused any harm," Mikey said, tearing up at the thought of his baby dying or being put at risk because of his selfishness.
"Oh baby, I'm sorry I upset you put you have to realise everything you do will affect them, alright?"
"It's okay Mama, I do have to think of the consequences."
The pair went on like that for a while, talking about what to do and what not to do. Donna told Mikey that Dr. Kaylin prescribed some prenatal vitamins to help the baby, and gave him mood stabilizers along with a pill to take to help him not have as bad morning sickness. Mikey was grateful for all three medicines, knowing they would help him and the baby in the long run.
They talked about the baby some more, mainly talking about how cute it would be with Pete's dark hair, Mikey's nose, Pete's eyes, and Mikey's paler skin tone. Mikey didn't care if they looked nothing like him, he justed wanted them here now so he could cuddle them close and never let them go. He was ready to begin another chapter of his life with Pete.
Mikey soon realised that he didn't know how to tell Pete about the pregnancy. He could be cute about it or come right out and say it. He asked his mom before she left to go get the prescriptions from the pharmacy but she only said whatever he thought was best. He sighed and decided to call someone he knew had been through this before.
"Hey Mikey, haven't talk to you since the wedding. How you coping with the married life?" Lindsey's voice sounded from his phone. He was thankful that he had such a sort of laid back sister-in-law.
"I'm doing okay but I have a question for you?"
"Shoot," Linds replied nonchalantly.
"Well, how did you tell Gee you were pregnant with Bandit?"
All of the sudden Mikey heard a loud crash along with a gasp and the line went silent before he heard Lyn-Z's voice once more, "Do you think you're pregnant?"
"I don't think, I know. I found out today when I went to the doctors. I'm trying to find out how to tell Pete and Mama is no help," huffed Mikey.
"Congrats Mikes! You certainly jumped head first into the domestic side of life. Geez Mikes, who all knows?"
"So far Mama, the doctor, you now and of course myself."
"Well I feel honored to be one of the first to know. Now, when do you plan on telling Pete?"
"Hopefully tonight or tomorrow sometime. I don't want to keep it from him for too long."
"Okay, well I just showed Gee the pregnancy test but I think it would be better if you just told him. Pete generally believes anything you tell him so you don't have to worry over him not believing you. Pete loves kids and I know he will love this baby so don't stress over him not wanting it. You two will be amazing parents."
