2 weeks later

Pete woke up next to his beautiful husband and smiled. God, he can't wait to meet his son or daughter. He chuckled quietly as to not wake the exhausted younger man. He decided it would be best if he left so he didn't accidentally wake his sleeping beauty.

He slide out from under the comforter and gently padded over to the door. With minimal effort he turned the knob and slid out of the room. He went downstairs to find something to do while Mikey was still asleep. Pete saw the laptop on the coffee table and decided to research baby things.

As Pete opened the first page he thought about how far along Mikey could be. He and Mikey had sex quite a bit over the course of the honeymoon but he didn't know exactly when. He opened another tab and started to see which symptoms matched Mikey's the most per week. From what Pete figured out from the symptoms per week of pregnancy showed that Mikey was most likely about a month and a half.

It had been their one month anniversary 2 weeks ago so the kid had to be made the first night of the honeymoon. Well at they had half a day of marriage life without a kid already in their lives. Well more like in Mikey's but Pete was there so they were in his life too. Pete continued reading up and learned that at this 1 1/2 month mark their kid is 1/4th an inch long. They would most resemble a grain of rice in size.

He read in wonder and learned that by week 12 the bump would start to show. He also read that it can appear earlier in males or sometimes first time parents. He wished Mikey was already at that stage but he would have to wait for their baby could be physically seen on Mikey's body. He grinned at the thought of the baby bump on Mikey's lanky frame. Pete Wentz may or may not have girlishly squealed over the mental image.

Pete had completely scoured the internet for all the information he need at this point of the pregnancy and the up coming month so that Mikey could not stress that much. When he read about Mikey getting cramps at the 6 week mark that felt like menstrual pains he immediately started to find solutions to help.

Pete had never gone through a period before, only the men born with the reproduction gene had them, and he was not one of those men. Mikey obviously is though and the pain he went through every month had Pete's heart breaking in half again and again.

Due to the reproduction gene being a mutated gene it could be found in males as well as females. It had been almost 45 years since the gene was discovered and has since been found in about 1/3 of the male population.

Because the male body was never intended to have a kid or have a period it was extremely tough for the first few who ended up with the gene. Now doctors and scientists have found a way to help the men who do experience the effects of the gene. The doctors created a safe way to carry a baby full term by taking a male prenatal supplement to help the body form comfortably around the growing child.

So far they have learned that the males experience 4 times the pain of menstrual cramps and other symptoms. Although the men do not bleed they do shed the uterus lining with no signs of it actually occurring. The period usually lasts about a week to two weeks.

Males during pregnancy go through far worse symptoms with pains and stronger cravings and emotions than females. It is just the way the body copes with the foreign object now embedded within the uterine walls. The birth takes 18 hours longer than women's and the contractions cannot be stopped or numbed even with the highest level of epidural.

Pete had learned all about the genetic mutation when he and Mikey first started dating so he knew how to aid him in his time of need. Most of the time Pete felt helpless as his love cried because the pain was too great. Pete onced asked Mikey to describe the feeling and all he got in reply was an hour of Mikey crying harder than before and practically choking on his own despair over the pain.
