1 month after the Way-Wentz wedding.
Mikey was glad to be back home in Pete and his bed. He missed the smell of Pete's cologne on the pillows and how the bed was slightly taller than normal ones.
The couple had been back home for a day already and Pete had to leave for a band meeting. Mikey knew that he had just spent a whole month with him with no interruptions but he still wished he had Pete at home with him right now. Both bands' managers tried not to have anything for them the first 3 days they got back from the honeymoon but sometimes you just can't work your way around it.
Mikey got up from the bed and walked downstairs to the "music room" that was really just a guest room they put all their band equipment in. He grabbed his silvery bass and cord to plug into his amp. He started playing Vampire Money, loving the feel of the bass strings he hadn't touched in a while, and played the chords effortlessly as always.
He would never get over his love of playing bass guitar or how the strings vibrated when he plucked away at them. When he ran through a couple more songs he felt that he had made up for the time he spent not playing for. He checked the time on his phone and saw he had a text from Pete.

Hey Babe, band meeting is running a bit longer than expected. Don't worry if I'm not home soon. I should be back by 7. Love you. xoxo-Pete
Mikey sighed, hoping he would be back sooner but he knew his band was busy with planning a new album. Mikey knew that all too well, considering while they were planning the wedding his band was recording some demo tracks for an album Gerard considered making. He loves his older brother but he often has one of his brilliant ideas at the worst time imaginable. Mikey remembers once when Gerard first thought up The Black Parade album he came over to Mikey's house at 3 am to explain every little detail. Mikey was only half awake while this happened but he nodded and tried to listen anyways. To this day he still can't remember everything his brother told him that fateful night.
It was around 4 in the afternoon when he began to feel different. He got colder all of the sudden and a bit drowsy. He thought not much of it, probably lack of sleep and the AC turned on, but still went upstairs and laid down for a while. When he next got up the sky was dark and Pete was humming from the kitchen. Mikey sat up in the bed, feeling a bit dizzy as he did so, pulled back the covers fro his legs, swung his legs off the bed, and stood up on the soft carpeted floor.
He walked down the steps and made his way to his husband, smiling as he saw him dancing in the kitchen while finding something to make for dinner. Mikey leaned against the doorframe and watched him for a while, holding back a chuckle every now and again at the dance moves. Pete turned around and saw Mikey at the door way with one eyebrow raised, clearly amused by Pete's wonderful skills. Pete just smiled and walked over to him.
"Something funny?" asked Pete, already knowing the answer.
"Funny," Mikey shakes his head," no. Adorable would be the word I'd use."
"Only you would call my dance moves adorable," Pete said, rolling his eyes at the younger man.
"Well Mr. Adorable Dancer, what are we having for dinner?"
Pete scratched the back of his head,"I'm not sure. What do you want?"
"I'll get back to that question after I have some coffee," Mikey told the elder, needing to wake up fully before trying to make a decision.
