Love Your Way

Shadows grow so long before my eyes 

And they're moving across the page ♬♪

Nagising si K ng isang reggae medley mula sa kanyang mahimbing na pagkakatulog. Marahan niyang minulat ang kanyang mga mata at hinintay na mag-adjust ito sa liwanag. She was reading a book to her baby a while ago, naniniwala kasi siyang it helps strengthen their maternal-fetal bond kaya madalas niya itong ginagawa. Usually, she reads early in the morning or in the afternoon, on the other hand, sometimes Vice reads bedtime stories naman to their baby at night. Nahihigaan na niya ang Cinderella book and Karylle realized na nakatulog pala siya sa sofa kanina while reading. Dahan-dahan siyang nag-change ng posisyon, tumagilid siya habang nakahawak ang isang kamay sa kanyang tiyan. Nang nakaupo na si K ay sumandal siya sa sofa at muling pumikit.

Suddenly the day turns into night

Patuloy niyang naririnig ang kanta at napasabay na rin siya. Eyes still closed, she's now humming habang marahang hinahaplos ang almost 4-months niyang tummy. Beige-colored curtains frolicked when a cool breeze of metropolitan air entered the white windowpane of their humble home. It's been 18 days since they got married and just three days since they moved in to their own house, her dream house. Mixture of emotions filled her as she analyze this new chapter of their lives. Bagong bahay. Bagong buhay. Bagong pangalan. Bagong pamilya. The perks of being Mrs. Viceral. Even just the mere thought of it makes her smile. A curve of happiness formed in her lips as K slowly openned her eyes.

Napangiti si K nang marinig niya ang pamilyar na boses na biglang sumabay sa kanta. Marahang tumayo si K mula sa pagkakaupo sa sofa at naglakad patungo sa pinanggagalingan ng musika.

Confirmed. Her smile widdened when she saw Vice at the kitchen, singing while slicing some fruits. Queso is with him, he's wagging his tail habang tumatahol-tahol malapit sa kanyang paanan at kinukulit si Vice na tila ba gustong makipag-laro. Napasandal si K sa wooden divider between the sala at kitchen habang naka-cross arms at patuloy na pinagmamasdan si Vice sa ginagawa nito. She giggled nang sinabayan pa ni Vice ng pagsayaw ang kanta, he's swaying his hips now at feel na feel pa rin ang pagkanta may papikit-pikit pa.
