Until The Very End

Chapter 24 Part 3

Elizabeth's POV

I felt the fresh sea air crashing against my hair as I stared out to the sea. The sun was high up and there were a few people enjoying their time here. Some were swimming or playing beach volleyball and other are only sun bathing.

"How long has it been?" I asked Blake.

He looked at his watch.

"About an hour now." he said.

"We should go back now. I think they had enough time. For now." I said.

"Already? But I want to spend more time with you." Blake said and pouted playfully.

I laughed at his cuteness and leaned in to give him a kiss. He wrapped his arms around my wrist pulling closer to him.
The kiss was slow but passionate. It felt Blake and I were the only ones on this beach. We pulled away and smiled at each other before he took my hand and we made our way back to the beach house.

Blake and I finally got some time for us since we got here. Even though it's not much, I'm still happy to have spend time with him.

First we started talking about random things and then we played 20 questions. You might ask why we played it. Well, that's because, even if we know each other for more than 10 years now, we might have changed.

I found out that his father got cancer a few months after I left and is been fighting against it until now. That's why I saw him once with Emily in the hospital when I went to Dr. Reyenes for a check up.
He also told me that he was getting better and better and that the cancer is slowly going away but he needs to stay in two hospital for a few more days because it might get worse.

Blake asked me about my life in Washington D.C. He asked me about school, friends and so on. I feel guilty for lying to him. I left out every part of me being in the hospital or being ill. I only told him about my 'allergy' against animal fur. It's not true but how should I explain about my medicine? I didn't had any other answers.

To be honest, I don't feel alright at all. I've been getting attacks in the night but fortunately Alice and Rosie never wakes up because of it. I try to hide the pain everytime I do too much sports and I've been drinking my medicine rather more often than before.

No one has noticed it yet which I'm glad for. I don't want to ruin the whole trip. I might get scolded by my parents and Dr. Reyenes afterwards but it's worth it. I had so much fun until now.

We soon arrived at the beach house and it was silent. I looked at Blake.

"Seems like they stopped pounding against the doors." Blake said.

We slowly went upstairs and to Blake's room. I put my ear against the door and heard some talking. I tried to figure it out as I pressed my ear angst the door.

"Why didn't you tell me earlier?" I heard Zack ask softly.

"Because I couldn't! You were together with someone when I finally realised it. I didn't wanted to break you two up..." I heard Alice saying almost in a whisper.

Then I heard some shuffling.

"I'm sorry. I'm also at fault." I heard Zack saying.

"So, does that mean..." Alice trailed off.

"Yes, I love you too." Zack said and it went silent.

I slapped a hand on my mouth before a scream escaped from my lips. I slowly backed away and looked at Blake. He gave me a confusing look before I silently went up to him.

"We don't have to worry about those two anymore." I whispered in his ear.

A smirk made its way on his face as I took the key and unlocked it. I slammed the door open earning a scream from Alice and Zack standing in front of her protective.

I didn't care and pushed away Zack and gave Alice a really tight hug.

"Congratulation! Oh my God, finally!!!" I yelled.

I pulled away and saw Alice with a big grin on her face.

"Thank you, Beth. Without you, we would never had cleared things now." she said and gave me a hug again.

"Hey, dude. Are you still alive?" I heard Blake's voice asking.

Alice and I looked at him and saw him poking Zack. He was smashed between the bed and the chair.

"Oh my gosh! I'm sorry, Zack! Are you alright?!" I asked.

"Damn...are you really a girl?" he groaned and stood up.

I laughed and nodded. I went to him and gave also gave him a hug.

"Congratulation." I said and smiled at him.

"Yup, finally you grow some balls." Blake said and patted his shoulder.

Zack looked at me and than Blake giving us a smile.

"So, what about the other two?" Alice asked.

I only shrugged and went to the other room. I unlocked the door.

"Hey guys, ho- and we are out." I immediately say before I closed the door.

I looked at the others.

"They were already making out?!" Alice asked shocked.

I laughed and nodded.

"Pray that they don't do it in that room." Blake said.

My eyes widened and I looked at Alice who shared the same look as me. Zack was only smirking like Blake.

Alice slammed the door open and pulled those two apart.

"Oh no, no make out session here, guys. It might turn to something else and I don't need one of my best friends getting pregnant on this trip." Alice said.

The look on their faces were priceless and we tried not to laugh.

"My plan was successful!" I yelled before I started to do my happy dance infront of all.

"Babe, stop swinging your hip like that or I will take you here and now." Blake's husky voice said and I immediately stopped.

"But honestly. Your plan was locking us in a room?" Rose cut through.

"Well, no one of you wanted to confess so the only thing I thought of was locking you. I know you love me guys." I said trying to sound like a child.

Today was our last day here because tomorrow in the morning we have to leave again. School starts in a few days again and I'm not ready at all.

We spend the day with hanging around the beach. We did every sort of games and in the evening we played with some fireworks.

Everything was just perfect.

However, I never thought that one phone call in the middle of the night could destroy everything...
