Blair Waldorf was strong, one of the strongest women Chuck Bass had ever known, but one thing he knew, is that her worst enemy was herself.
He was still waiting outside their room, the doctor had told him she had dehydrated from all the vomiting. The doctor also told him it would take a couple of hours for her to wake up and she would probably feel light headed when she does but other than that she would be fine.
He looked at the clock, 4 hours had passed since the doctor left. He was so lost in his thoughts he did not even noticed time had passed by. He decided to enter the room, terrified of discussing the situation but anxious to know how was Blair.
He knocked the door, and when he had no response he started to worry, so he just pushed the door to find her for his surprise staring at the ceiling. Blair did not even notice that he had entered the room, not until he finally said a word, terror taking over his soul and body.
"Hey," He said, "Are you feeling any better, do you want Dorota to bring you some food?" He was worried about her and she could not help but notice how sweet he was being. She smiled at him "No, I am not that hungry for the moment, but thanks." he smiled at her back, noticing some tears in her cheeks.
"Hey, what is wrong?" He said with so much fear in his voice. She started sobbing " You hate me, you think what I did was cruel and you deserve so much better," she broke into tears as he worried and did not overthink taking her in his arms. "I am so sorry, sorry I could not be good enough for you." He felt so bad, and started thinking that maybe their fight last week had dragged her into doing this.
"Don't you ever think that again, you are so much than good enough, Blair, the only one here who doesn't deserve you in his life is me, you are so perfect and well, you know what all people think about me." He told her, looking deep into her eyes and lost in the beautiful color of them.
"But you are not what people describe you are, you are such a good man, I can even say I got so lucky."She said and they both chucked, forgetting this big mess for a little while.
"What do you think of a fresh start, forget all of this?" He asked, "I wouldn't like anything else." she told him with a reassuring smile.
They curled up in bed for about an hour when they decided they were in the mood for some soup.
They went through all the castle and into the kitchen and asked one of the maids for some chicken soup.
They went back to bed and ate, for now Chuck and Blair thought it would be so much better staying as friends, without knowing they had already fallen for each other.
A month and a half later...
"There is something I want to show you," Chuck said to Blair, stepping up from the bed "come." and she stood up following him.
They went through all the beautiful and enormous castle until she saw an area she had never been before.
"Chuck, this place is beautiful." She said admiring the beautiful garden that surrounded them. There were lots of plants and flowers of different kinds, but what caught up her attention was the beautiful gazebo that was in the middle of the peaceful garden.
"Why hadn't you showed me this part of the castle?" She asked him, "Well, this place was actually designed by my mother, one of the rare times he spoke about her, he told me she had asked this for him while pregnant with me, she used to say that when she gave birth, she wanted a place to have some time with her son." Chuck explained the story to Blair, which only of course made her sentimental.
"She must have really loved you." she told him with a reassuring smile. "She did," he told her looking into her eyes, then suddenly his stare fell to the floor, "It is such a shame she had to give her life for me." He said.
"I bet she still takes care of you from where she is, and still loves you and the man you've become." she have him an innocent smile pulling up his chin, he smiled back.
Suddenly they were walking through the garden, and stopped by to sit in the gazebo."Chuck, don't get me wrong I love this place and that you showed it to me but, why'd you show it to me?" She asked slightly curious.
"Well, Dorota once told me my mother said that one day i would find my princess, and that I would live happily ever after with her, she also said that she wanted me to get married in this garden, our garden, where she and I would connect." He told her afraid of how she might react.
"Are you asking me...?" She suddenly was stopped be him, "Yes Blair, if we want a fresh start, maybe we should get from where all this started, our marriage, and since we already gave ourselves more than a month to get to know each other, I guess now i want you to be my wife properly." some tears were starting to get into her eyes, when she suddenly felt him go into one knee.
"Blair Cornelia Waldorf, will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?"
"Yes! I will, I will!" She exclaimed with all the power in her lungs, he gut up and placed the ring in her finger.
Without knowing what else he was doing, he kissed her like he had never kissed anyone before in his life, and she felt a fire built in the pit of her stomach, they had never kissed before, apart from their wedding, their relationship was strictly off that limit.
But when they both felt each others lips touch their mouths, it was like if the whole world has stopped, and their wasn't a single problem in the world.
"I'm sorry, I don't know what I was thinking." Chuck apologized, he didn't know what he was thinking, but he was definitely not sorry, her lips tasted like heaven.
"Don't apologize, I think that was one of the best kisses I have ever had, like ever." Then she took him ny surprise and kissed him again, this time, passionate but sweet, she could swear that his lips where the most amazing in the world.
Now it would be real, it wouldn't be for convenience anymore, they would be married for love.
