It was too suffocating the rest of the day. Lucy felt herself wanting to disappear into thin air. Natsu decides to stare away and look at the clock ticking away in an attempt to stop him from getting angry and irritated further. He lets out a heavy sigh in irritation as you look back towards the board, and he meets Lucy's glance. He could feel his anger bubbling back up. Taking Lucy's quick glance at him, he felt as if she knew the situation. As if she was just taunting him and enjoying his misery of just trying to escape his parents. Trying to take his mind off of the situation, he goes back to focusing on the clock, each tick helps him zone out until the day was over.
It was lunch, and the halls were bustling with students rushing to get to their spots. Natsu, with his hands in his, is pockets walk towards the cafeteria, his eyes slanted with irritation as he has to walk behind the very person that is causing his suffering. There in front of him was Lucy, her chatting away with her friends. Natsu wished that he could just disappear, run away and just live his life happily. And yet, reality throws him a bone and then crushes it under their feet right in front of him..
On the other hand, Lucy was still trying to figure out why Natsu was so upset with her. Sitting at the table, she pokes her food, lost in thought. What could make him so upset with her when they have never even spoken.
"Lucy!" Levy speaks, shaking Lucy out of her thoughts. "What's got you so lost in thought that you decided to murder your spaghetti?"
Lucy looks down at her place, now looking like a crime scene. Looking at her fork and then back at the plate, she sets it down before sighing. "I'm thinking of why Natsu was throwing daggers at me during class."
Levy furrows her brows, she didn't have an answer for that either. Natsu's gang wasn't someone that she and Lucy would think of being around. After thinking a bit she throws out an idea. "Maybe he was upset that you were in his seat?" Lucy sighs, he couldn't be that pressed on just her accidentally sitting in his seat for just a split second...could he? Levy shoos away the thoughts for now and tried to cheer up Lucy. "Enough of that depressing topic, so what all-so-amazing webtoon did you read yesterday?"
Lucy smiles before taking out her phone. Scrolling through all the list she has of manhwa and manga stored on her phone she shoves her phone into Levy's face. "This one! It made me cry so much yesterday."
Levy moves her phone back a bit before reading the title out loud. "Suddenly, I Became a Princess? Let me guess a romcom?" Levy says moving her head to the side of the phone to look at Lucy. Lucy smiles wide as she explains the whole plot to her in detail. Levy just lets her, because she wouldn't have the time anyways to read it if she even wanted to.
"And at the end--" Levy puts her hand over Lucy's mouth. "Stop right there. Don't expose the ending like that."
"Fine, I won't." Lucy pouts as she continues to eat.
It was P.E., the last class they had. Exiting the locker room, Lucy and Levy make their way into the gym. Standing where the other girls were, Lucy and Levy talked and waited for the teacher to come in.  Gray talked to Gajeel trying to pry some information for himself, especially why his friend had a bloodlust for Lucy. Natsu just sat, trying to not think about his anger again. Just seeing her made him remember that he couldn't escape his parents' control.
"Alright you bags of bones, it's dodgeball season!" Their P.E. coach says with excitement in his voice. The whole class expresses their discontentment in groans at the thought of playing dodgeball. For Natsu, this was a great opportunity for him to channel his anger and frustration into something productive.
Dividing into teams, Lucy, Levy, and Gajeel were on one team and Natsu, Gray, and Lauxus were on the other. It was perfect for Natsu, he could vent his anger with no repercussions. The game starts with Natsu standing at mid, everyone is scrambling for the balls that the coach throws up into the air. When a ball lands near him, he grabs it and throws it at a random opponent. He feels himself enjoying it a little too much as he takes out people one after another.
Halfway into the match, It was just Lucy, Gajeel, Gray, and Natsu. The ball being in Natsu's hands he clearly knew who was going to be his target. Throwing the ball at Lucy, she quickly dodges before Gajeel takes the ball and throws it back, of course missing both of them. This goes on for what seems forever until Natsu gets fed up. He takes the ball, now the only one on his team against two, and winds up his shot. He motions his body towards Gajeel, making them believe that he was aiming for him. And then with a quick movement, he throws it the other way, this time it actually hitting Lucy. A smile erupts from his mouth only to fade moments after, Looking towards her, he realized the ball he threw at full force smacked right into her face, knocking her onto the floor.
"Lucy!" Levy exclaims as she makes her way toward Lucy. Her eyes just stare at Natsu filled with tears and frustration. She holds her hand over her nose, and lines of blood trickle down her face. Natsu just stares in shock, he didn't mean to throw it so hard, especially towards her face. He takes a few steps towards her, his face now laced with worry. Before he could ask her if she was alright she yells at him.
"What did I ever do to you!" Lucy says as tears run down her face from the pain. Getting up with the help of Levy, she rushes out of the gym leaving Natsu in shock. He just stares at her, frozen still thinking why did he even take his anger out on her. What if she didn't know anything and he decided to be mean? He closes his eyes in frustration and sighs. "How am I going to fix this?" He mumbles under his breath as class ends early.
Heading home, he walks into his house thankful that his parents are not home yet, he throws his bag into his room before changing and heading to the garage. Taking his frustration, all his mixed emotions wracking his brain, he punches the punching bag. He punches the bag with his left hand and right hand, the bag swinging back and forth from the force of his punches. He gets more frustrated and disorganized with each punch he throws, his irritation and frustration growing with each passing moment.
"Fuck..." He says punching the bag one more time. He ruffles his hair as he furrows his eyebrows. "I gotta apologize to her."
