"I told you no," I said as we walked down the hallway to the room he rented.
"It's just some beer. I can handle my liquor well."
I narrowed my eyes playfully at him. "I guess."
I didn't know what to say. I never had alcohol, and now Sam was going to drink while we were alone together? Don't get me wrong, it's his life, but alcohol made people feel funny.
"I'm not going to get out of control. Just a couple."
I nodded, not daring to tell him I didn't like the idea more than I already had. He bought me way more than I asked for today, and he rented out a room for us with two beds because I felt uncomfortable sharing one.
Our room was at the end of the hall on the second floor at number 212. When Sam swiped the key, and nudged the door open, a small gasp left my mouth.
I only moved when Sam placed his hand on the small of my back and ushered me in. I slipped out of my shoes, and before Sam could say a word to me, I bolted towards one of the beds, and belly flopped on it.
"You like it?" Sam slipped off his shoes, placing his bag of liquor on the square table in the corner. I nodded, sitting up. "The bathroom is there," he pointed towards the door right beside the door we came through. "And, the mini fridge is obviously here, I'm not sure if I need to tell you anything else."
I shook my head, watching him rid himself of his jacket before grabbing a can of his beer, and putting the rest in the mini fridge. He cracked it open, taking a big swing out of it before sighing.
"I think I'm going to shower." I told him, pushing my jacket off my shoulders and onto the bed.
Sam nodded, his eyes trailing after me as I walked passed him to our bags he had carried up. I unzipped it, shuffling through to find my pajamas.
"Don't wear underwear," he scolded, grabbing them from my hands, and tossing them over his shoulder.
"Sam!"
"If you're going to wear any it'll have to be mine." He pulled a plaid pair from his bag, and pushed it into my hands. "And no pants either." My mouth opened, but before I could argue back he shook his head. "When you come out I'll have ordered some snacks for us."
I could feel my cheeks heat up, but I didn't bother arguing with him, I sort of liked it, and instead I twirled on my heel, and marched to the bathroom.
I took my time in the shower, turning the tap off when I felt the water start to get cold.
I dried myself off, slipping my long sleeved shirt over my head before pulling up the underwear, frowning at how loose they fit on me, and how low they hung on my hips.
Opening the bathroom door, I poked my head out before slowly slipping out. Sam was laying shirtless with one arm tucked behind his head, the other holding a can of beer, while he watched the TV.
"I ordered some sandwiches, and something called Box of Goodies."
I nodded, placing my towel on one of the chairs of the little table before turning around, and standing awkwardly as I noticed there were already two cans emptied on the table.
"Wanna come lay down with me for a bit?"
I pulled my bottom lip into my mouth, nibbling on it a bit before making my way over to him. I sat on the edge of the bed, facing the TV, and blindly staring at it.
"Sammy," Sam whined. "I meant near me."
I looked over my shoulder at him, and damn did he look attractive. If I didn't look so disgusting maybe I'd have the guts to tell him that.
