Part of the crowd

I woke up and jumped out of my bed eagerly, almost knocking over my lamp over to peak out the window. 

When I didn't see Edward's car outside I cursed at myself mentally for being so giddy and desperate over a boy like every teenage movie. I stomped to the bathroom, showered and brushed angrily at my hair until I heard a knock on the door.

"I got it kiddo!" Charlie yelled up the stairs at me. 

I threw on my clothes for school, put my damp hair in a messy bun and crept downstairs waiting at the very last step, my curiosity getting the best of me as I listen to the the sound Edward and Charlie were laughing.

"She's upstairs getting ready actually, and man that's a nice car! How fast she go?" Charlie said 

"As fast at the speed limit allows Officer Swan" Edward joked. 

"Smart answer" Charlie said laughing. "Hey Bells?" He yelled again

I took a breath. It seemed so odd, just last night I'm being saved by a vampire, the same one who also drank my blood, and now he's laughing with my father, in my house. 

What was my life?

"Hey, Edward. Thanks again for coming to pick me up" I said with a firm voice, so I wouldn't seem weak and also so Charlie wouldn't ask any questions. 

"Sure thing, Bells" he said with a smirk on his face. 

I stuck my tongue at him and rolled my eyes as I walked past him out the door.

"You guys be safe, have a good day at school!" Charlie said from the door. 

I realized that Edward's Jeep was replaced with a souped up looking Convertible. 

"Is this a vampire thing to just have cars at the ready or is this a rental?" I asked as I climbed in. 

Edward chuckle, looking at me with his green eyes. "It's my Mothers actually" 

"You have a mom?" I asked and then thought about how dumb that sounded "don't answer that" I said immediately. 

"I'm not going to anyway, today's my day to ask the questions" He said 

"Can I least ask one more question?" I said with my lip out in a pout. As he pulled out the driveway and started onto the road. 

"Maybe" he said smiling. "Depends on what you want to know" 

"Where  are we going?" I said. 

"School, where else?" he said with confusion falling on his face. 

"After school" 

"Nope"

"Please?" 

"Today's my day" he said grinning 

"Fine." I said pouting. "What do you wanna know, that you don't know already?" 

"Well now that you know so much about me, it's only fair to know how you feel about me" he said staring out to the road. 

"How I feel about you?" I asked sightly blushing

He looked at me from the corner of his eye, face blank.

"It's not everyday a vampire bites you, tells you about it, then saves your life doing super human antics" 

We pulled up to the school then, it was 5 minutes until homeroom started. Edward pulled into a spot next to a familiar looking Jeep. 

"Is that-" 

"Yes, my brother and sister are driving it" he answered 

"Then why are you driving this?" I asked even more confused. 

"Jasper likes my Jeep, figured I'd let him drive it" 

I shrugged and decided to let it go, at a flash he was at my door opening it. 

"Is it smart to be doing the Flash thing in public?" I asked 

"No one pays attention" he said chuckling 

"No one pays attention? to YOU?" 

"Ah that's right, I'm the oh so dazzling auburn haired boy"

"Dazzling auburn hair vampire boy" 

"Right" he said throwing an arm on my shoulder and walking me through the hall 

"Okay... What. Are you doing?" 

"I'm being a part of the crowd, and after classes I'll show you what I mean" he said winking at me.
