My Mate Is A Fox

Chapter 5

"So, our little future alpha, how was your first meeting?"  Lauren asks me the moment she lays her butt beside me. She grins like an overexcited  puppy.

Lauren is my best mate in the campus. She's actually a half naiad and a half werewolf who lives in the river deep in the woods. I know her since I first stepped into Vayens University. Lauren may look and like a typical anthomaniac girl but when it comes to study, you will feel like kneeling down and bow upon her.

Speaking of the university, Vayens University is a special institution for mythical creatures like vampires, werewolves, mermaids, centaurs and many more as long as there are no humans in the campus. The courses provided here are just like the ones in humans' university. I took accountancy (don't ask me why). And the graduation certificates here somehow work if we apply for human jobs. And we call our lecturers by "Mr","Mrs" or "Miss" instead of "Professor"

"At least I'm not eaten by the council. Yet." I sigh.

"C'mon, it can't be as bad as Ms Dane's accountancy lessons. Urghhh, that old crumpled virgin who's the only lecturer that can relate accountancy to prophecy telling. Good thing that Mr Knight came back from his annual meditation or I'll just pack my clothes and get my ass out of this campus." She scowls.

I smile a bit. I retrieve my notebook and stationery from my backpack. As soon as I settled my stuffs on the table, something caught my gaze.

The red eyes. The so-familiar-yet-so-strange pair of eyes, waltzing around the aisle of the classroom. I pinch my hands to make sure I'm not dreaming.

Ouch, that hurts.

Black grayish hair, fair skin, tall and slender nose and a clear jawline. Yep, that's him.

Everybody stops chattering like the time has stopped as he walks around the classroom. Our attention are glued him like he's some sort of irresistible magnet.

He walks past me and lays his eyes on me.

He winks and smiles.

Are my cheeks burning? I think my cheeks can be a good substitute to a frying pan if anybody wish to fry an egg now.

"Mind if I sit here?" He asks a girl who sits behind me so sweetly that the girl would faint anytime. He looks at her so intentively in which I think he is using his seduction power to make her to switch seat. The girl nods quietly and quickly switch to another empty seat.

And a strange red eyed guy who had tried to kidnap me is just sitting behind me in a classroom of a university. What a great life.

I'm starting to agree with Michelle's fact that he's a nine tail fox who's so attractive that he can get anything he wants by just looking into people's eyes.

The clock strikes 9. Mr Knight walks into the class on time. He takes out the namelist his suitcase and starts to roll call.

"Ah, looks like we've got a new student here." He looks at the red eyed guy and pushes his round glasses with amusement after done with his roll calling.

"Would you care to introduce yourself please, Leo Kavixan?"

Leo Kavixan. So that's his name.

"Leo Kavixan. 24. Nine tail fox." He stands up and answers nonchalantly.

Michelle would jumped on her chair and yelled "I TOLD YA BITCH" if she was here.

Everybody starts to whisper and chatter, shocked of Leo's real identity of course.

"No wonder he's so hot." Lauren squeals excitedly. "We've got a hot legendary fox in our class!"

"Very well, Mr Kavixan. Please have a seat." Mr Knight says amusingly.

"Now please have a look on the......" Mr Knight's words are buzzing in my ears for the rest of the lesson. I couldn't concentrate and that's a rare thing that would ever happened to me.

I feel something touched my shoulder and realise there's a small piece of folded paper laying silently on my table.

I frown and turn to my back. Leo is paying attention to Mr Knight.

I unfolded the paper and slender writings came into my vision.
