Are you kidding me? Even on my child's birthday demon's have to show up? I swear I bet that they get off on this. After I regained consciousness, Daphne and Rachel went up to the attic which I stopped them. "Oh no, no, no, we will do that after her birthday party. I will not let this day be ruined."
I meant every single word, this day will not be ruined because of an ugly demon. The kids came in from outside, while Daphne brought the cake into the dining room from the kitchen. "Happy Birthday Veronica! Mommy and Daddy love you! Let's sing Happy Birthday to the birthday girl!"
Watching my baby girl's face light up when we started singing happy birthday to her made everything worth it. My other kids, Allie and Kevin Jr. made Veronica this beautiful collage of photos. Everyone from our family to Daphne and Rachel's family, even Dad is sticking his tongue out showed on the collage they made.
Kevin and I came up with the perfect gift for her, since she has to go into Allie's room to watch television, now Veronica doesn't have to do that anymore. She has her own TV, "Come into your room, birthday princess mommy and daddy have a huge gift for you!"
We had everyone walk up stairs, while Veronica had a blindfold on. Kevin took the blindfold off and she screamed with pure joy. "Oh my god I have my own tv! Thank you Mommy, I love you! Thank you Daddy, I love you!" Everything was going along great until Daphne nudge both Rachel and I right in the arm.
"Aww come on!" All three of us turned into the attic, and we saw the same demon about to steal our book. "Demon be gone!" That just popped into my head, but it worked! "What do you think he was?" Daphne asked Rachel, who was looking through the book. "I found it!"
