The fallen one

As I stood outside, confused as hell, I heard my sister call my name. I looked back and she was walking towards me. "What are you doing out here?" She asked me. I took another look around the yard, expecting Dante to pop up, but he never did. "That guy was out here?" She looked at me with her eyes crinkled. "What guy?" She said looking around. "The guy from last night!" I exclaimed. She rolled her eyes at me and began walking away. I grabbed her shoulder and turned her back to me. "I'm serious, Hailey." I told her. She smacked my hand off of her. "Look, Ashley, Last night I was nice to you because you had a bad dream. There is no guy, so stop dragging this out." She snapped at me. I was shocked that she said that. I watched her walk away from me, and I went the opposite way from her, and went in through our back door.

I went upstairs and searched through the unpacked boxes for some of my clothes. Once I was dressed, I set my mirror up above my dresser, and gussied up. As I checked out every flaw in my I saw him standing behind me. I almost jumped out of my skin. I turned around and this time, he was still there. I screamed, but he covered my mouth with his hand. My eyes were wide with anxiety and fear. He started chuckling, "Shhh. It's okay." He releases me from his hand. I compose myself. "I want to show you something. Will you come with me?" He asked, holding his hand out. My mind was arguing with itself. Half of me wanted to scream for my father, and call the police, because this guy was showing up out of nowhere, and somehow getting into our house, but the other half of me was really intrigued and curious about him. I also might have been slightly turned on to his dangerous touch. I had two choices to make, and I already knew what I was going to choose before he showed up again. I grabbed his hand, and we snuck out of the house with no one seeing us.

We walked through the forest behind my house, he held my hand and we practically ran the whole way without one word. All of a sudden we came to a halt. I looked back and could no longer see civilization. I turned to him and he stared at me with his big, beautiful brown eyes. "Look." He commanded. I looked behind him, and there was a beautiful lake. I had never seen anything like it. It was surrounded by beautiful flowers, and bushes. The water glistened as sun beams struck it. Fireflies danced around, and birds sang a touching song. "It's beautiful." I mumbled in amazement. Dante circled around me, almost as if he was studying me. "Why did you come here?" He asked me. I was a little confused at his question. "You asked me to come." I said. I didn't dare look him in the face. I was intimidated now. "You did not answer the question correctly. Why would you come here, with me? You don't know who I am. I'm a monster. I could kill you right now, and no one would even hear you. I'm not who you think I am." He growled. My first reaction was fear, but then something else came over me. Was it courage? I wasn't sure but I looked him dead in the eye, "Then kill me." I had confidence written all over my face. He wasn't satisfied. He pushed me up against a tree and held my hands together above me. I did not let my confidence come off my face. I wasn't scared anymore. Not of him, not of anything. "I trust you." I whispered. There was a long moment of silence. "Close your eyes." He calmly told me. I took one last look at him, and did. I felt his hands leave mine and collapse gently on my cheeks, then I felt his soft, wet lips on mine. He kissed me slowly, and passionately. It was like the whole world stopped for a few moments. You know that 'spark' everyone talks about? This was more like fire. As as soon as it started, it stopped. His lips left my lips, and his hands left my cheeks soon after. "Open your eyes." He slowly commanded me. As my eyes opened, they readjusted to the light and, as to be expected, my mysterious friend was once again vanished. I didn't waste my time looking for him this time, I just walked out of the forest, alone. My mind was tangled and I wondered what just happened, and why I had done it. I didn't even know who Dante was. All I knew was that he was beautifully mesmerizing, dangerous, and that I wanted him. I had been in Indiana for less than 24 hours, but I knew what I wanted, and I knew I would get it.
