The chosen one

As I began walking away from Dante I could feel him following me close behind, "You have no clue what you're getting into, Ashley! You have no idea what the demon world consists of, or even how to kill Persephone if you find her." He argues. I stop in my tracks. "Kill?" I ask worried. "Yes, kill. It's kill or be killed here." With every word I realize that going right now would be stupid. "Okay. Then teach me what I need to know."

Dante took me even farther into the woods, way past the beautiful lake. The woods got darker and darker through all the time. I wondered why he didn't just fly us there. Once we finally came to a stop, I looked around expecting a building or something, but there wasn't. Just regular trees and grass. "What are we doing here?" I ask with an attitude. He gives me a 'hush up' noise, and gets on his hands and knees. He begins to feel the ground, then soon finds something. He pushes grass away from a trap door within the ground, and pulls the door up. He motions for me to go in first. "No way. Thanks for your gentlemen like gesture, but you can go in first." I backfire. He goes in first and I follow behind. It was dark and smelled of rotting animals. I dodged every spider web and rat I came across. Eventually I saw lights, and we kept walking towards them. Then we came to a stop and we were now in a caved room with candles and coffins laying around. Someone obviously made it home here. "What are you doing here?" A dark, demented voice called out. My nerves set in and I looked around the room. A few seconds later a tall, pale man walked out. Dante began talking, "I ask you to read her." I look at him confused. Read me? The pale guy slowly walked toward me. He held out his hand and placed in on my forehead. Suddenly a huge smile came upon my face and his eyes looked as if he was searching through a treasure chest filled with gold. He took his hand off my head and walked in front of Dante. "Take her to her trainer. She will learn everything she needs to know there." He told him. Dante now looked as confused as I did. "Trainer? What do you mean?" Dante asked. The sparkle in the pale mans eyes never left. "She's the chosen one, Dante." Dante's facial emotion changed about 30 times in 30 seconds. Then he asked, "Who is her trainer?" The pale man then whispered something in Dante's ear and Dante and I left.

Dante grabbed me by the arm and began dragging me out of the woods. "What's going on? Where are we going?" Dante wouldn't answer me so I grabbed his arm, and flipped him over me. He fell to the ground and was almost as shocked as I was. How did I do that? I felt strong, and very brave. Yet still scared. I tried to compose myself and act cool, "W-what is going on? You're going to answer me!" I said. Dante gave in, "You're the chosen one. You alone will stand to fight the demons, and all forces of evil. You're the one, Ashley." I fell backwards in shock. There was so much shock in these past few days I didn't know what to do. What was the chosen one? Why was I her? "But...I don't want to be the one." I cried. Dante got up and helped me up. "You don't have a choice." He tells me, "We have to find your trainer. The one who will help you understand your powers." He acts like I'm suppose to be excited.

Dante and I walk to a small, rural home in the middle of the country. Dante knocks on the door. No answer. He knocks again. No answer. I got annoyed at waiting, so I lifted my leg, and kicked the door down. I didn't know much about being the chosen one, actually I didn't know anything at all, except that I was strong. Really strong. We walked inside, me leading the way. I looked around and noticed the place was trashed. Windows were broken, so were vases, with their flowers spilt everywhere. It looked like their was a struggle. I walked through the house, looking for some sort of life, but instead found a dead body. I cringed and covered my eyes. I had never seen anything like it. When I opened my eyes, Dante was kneeling down towards the body, examining it. "What are you doing? We need to get out of here!" I exclaimed. "Well, it looks like someone got to your trainer before we could." He says, ignoring my first statement. Suddenly we hear a crash coming from a different room and we both perched up, like a cat who hears a dog bark. Then we see some sort of person walk in, his eyes were red, and he looked straight at me, and looked like he wanted to kill me. "Dante!" I screamed. Dante ran to the scary man and picked him up by his neck and slammed him against the wall, and looked back at me. "Ashley, you're going to have to kill him." He says. "No! I can't he's innocent! I don't kill people!" I argued back. "No, he's not innocent. He's a vampire. Stab him in the heart." As soon as his sentence finishes, he drops the vampire, and walks out the door, and locks me in with this demon.

He lunged at me, and I did a frontward summer sault and doged him. I looked around for something sharp and pointy, and grabbed a piece of glass from the floor. The vampire came up and backhanded me in the face, and I went flying. I hit the wall hard, and slid back down to the floor. I must have dropped the piece of glass along the way. He came back towards me and kneed me in the stomache and uncountable number of times. Once he stopped I fell on all fours and coughed really hard. He grabbed the back of my shirt and picked me up to face him. My feet were dangling, trying to find some ground. I screamed as loud as I could, but no one came to help me. The vampire showed me his fangs and slowly started approaching my neck. I was almost ready to accept the fact that he was going to suck me dry, but instead instincts kicked in, and I gave him a hard kick between the legs. He let go of me to awknowlege the pain, and I head butted him in the head. He flew backwards, and now I knew the tables hard turned. I grabbed another piece of glass and jammed it right through his heart. He grabbed his chest and made a moaning noise, then his whole body turned to dust - litterally. I dropped the piece of glass, and stood there in shock. "So vampires are real too?" I ask. "Almost every monster you can imagine exists." He tells me. "And you're the one who is going to save the world from it." He adds.

Dante walked in, and put his hand on my shoulder. "See, you are the one." I stood there with my eyes wide, staring at the place where the vamp use to stand.
