" Hello Millie." A strange mans voice said, as it slowly faded to an echo.
" You have reached a place where you can be you." This time is was a woman's voice, she sounded as though she was relaxed, but Millie was finding it impossible to even think about relaxing.
" 9-3-13...." The voices repeted until they faded.
Millie slowly opened her eyes realizing she was moving, again.
Paramedics where swarming all around of her, but she couldn't hear even one word they where saying.
Millie looked around and saw another body, it looked so lifeless.
Millie tried to scream, but she couldn't. She was stuck, or at least it felt like she was.
Suddenly she could hear sirens, loud thumps came from beneath her, her back felt stabbing pains. The road was bumpy beneath her. Very soon later she had passed out again.
" Clear!" A familiar voice yelled. " Charge again!"
Millie's eyes snapped open, only to see Luke.
Dying.
" L-L-Luke..." Millie gasped under her breath. " No...! Luke...!"
" That's it, he's not coming back." Someone mumbled disappointedly.
Millie turned over so she was facing the window, she didn't want to see or except then end, even though it was right in front of her.
The next thing Millie knew was she was standing in the a dark and foggy forest.
" Millie!" A familiar voice pierced through the silence, " Millie! I'm here! Right here!"
" Who and where are you?" Millie yelled back, her voice filled with a horrific sadness" Where are you?"
" It's me. Behind you."
Luke!
Millie wiped around immediately and saw him, her brother, standing before her very eyes.
" A-a-are y-you.....?"
" Dead?" Luke finished, " Ya, I think I might be."
" Then....then......how can I see you? How hear you? Oh, and how are you dead, but standing talking to me right now telling me that you're dead. I-I-I-I don't think you're dead because you're here with me right now. "
" I'm on my way to a better place, and-"
"No! No! Please!" Millie screamed very softly, tears rolling down her face.
" You can't live in the past dammit! I'm gone! You need to know that! I won't be there for you! Grow up!" Luke yelled at Millie
" I don't get it....you're here......everything will stay like this forever, happy, I'll have my brother." Millie protested.
" Millie," Luke said gently putting his hand on her forarm , " You need to move on, like I said, you're living in the past. You née to accept this change. I have to go."
" What! No! You can't leave me again!"
" I can't stay, you know that."
Millie stood in silence, unable to accept the change.
" I need to go. I'll see you in your dreams if you really need me, and you won't, so...goodbye." Luke said, sounding like he to was going to burst into tears.
" No! Stay!"
" Goodbye Millie."
Millie stood there in complet silence, she knew this wasn't real, but she wanted it to be real so so badly. He understood her like no one else did. She knew in her heart he couldn't stay here forever, and neither could she. So finally Millie said the words she needed to, but they weren't empty as she thought they would be, they were full of heartfelt grief.
" I'll miss you, a lot Luke." Millie said through choked-back tears," Goodbye."
