Chapter 8 : Where We Begin Training For Something Bad

"My Crimson Rose, wake up, we have to begin training today." Elaine shook me gently. When I didn't wake up, he started poking me.

"Crimson." I didn't do anything to let him know that I was awake, and listening to him.

"Crimson..." I groaned, letting him know that I was awake.

"Crimson, wake up or no kisses from me," I immediately jumped out of bed when I heard him say that.

"No kisses?!"

"How can you be so cruel?"

"Darling, are you forgetting who I am?" He smirked but it disappeared when he saw me smirk back.

"I guess you've forgotten who I am as well. I'm your mate, and I can take away kisses from you as well." His eyes widened, I could clearly see that he was scared of me taking kisses away from him.

"You can't do that!"

"Oh, but I can." I smirked, before walking off to the washroom with a towel and some workout clothes.

When I got out, the room was empty and Elaine was nowhere to be seen so after I had brushed my hair and put it up in a high ponytail, I walked downstairs to see him making some breakfast.

He didn't show a sign that he knew that I was here until I heard him mutter, "Are you just going to stand there? Breakfast is ready, come eat and then go out to train with the others."

I walked behind the kitchen counter, closer to where he was standing and wrapped my arms around his waist.

"You know I didn't mean it when I said no kisses for you, right?" He turned around, and I shifted my arms around his waist so that I was more comfortable.

He kissed my forehead, "I know baby, I also know that you can't live without kissing me either so it didn't matter much," I frowned and pulled away from him.

He growled, "Where are you going?"

"Training. I don't want to talk to you." I told him harshly.

"Crimson..." I left the house before he could continue to speak.

After I left the house, I noticed Blake, Tyler, Ella and Ivy waiting for Elaine and I to show up.

"Finally! What took you so long? Where's Alpha?"

"I was very tired, so I was still asleep. Elaine...is inside the house. He'll be coming out of there soon." As soon as I said that, I heard the door open and felt the scent on my mate engulf my lungs.

"Let's begin."

For our first training session, Elaine taught us how to throw a punch, kick and shoot a gun. He also made us run around his pack grounds in our human form, so that our human form could be as strong as our wolves.

6 hours later, Elaine informed us that we were done training for today and we all sighed in relief. While everyone else walked away to the house Elaine had built in the past for special circumstances, we stayed outside on the grounds.
