"GET IN HERE YOU HANNA NICOLE," my "father" yells as I finally sit down after doing my chores. Slowly I walk into the living room waiting for him to start screaming. Again. He pulls me into the bathroom yelling " YOU CALL THIS SHIT CLEAN?! FIX IT NOW." He slaps me once and leaves me to clean the bathroom again while I cry wondering what I did to deserve this life.

If you can't already tell, my name is Hanna, Hanna Nicole Burrows. I am fourteen years old and I'm not like other kids for many reasons. One of them being that I'm adopted, which basically means my mother and father said 'no thanks' and gave me away. Thankfully my aunt and uncle took me and my older sister in. I've lived with them for about ten years now and it's been okay. That is until I started seventh grade. Up until the I had been a mostly normal child and I loved everything.

In seventh grade everything changed. And not in a good way...
