The next day at school I couldn't shake the dream from the night before. Every time I closed my eyes I see her moss green eyes looking back at me. I hardly slept after that dream. I tried to understand what she said to me. The Normies found us? What does she mean? No way could they find us. The moon barrier protects us, as long as it stays night we are safe. But I can't shake this sneaky feeling.
At lunch I ditched my friends and headed to the roof for some alone time to think in the moon's light. I walked the steps to the iron door that separated the chaos in my head and the peace of the moon. I pushed against the door and stepped out into the warm air under the moon. I walk to the fence that runs along the roof. I lean against it looking out over the buildings that make up SSA. That's when I feel it. Someone is watching me, someone is up here with me. I gulp and turn around slowly looking for the eyes burrowing into my back. I turn and meet a pair of moss green eyes. I gasp slightly and take a step back.
"W-who is there?" I stammer out nervously.
That's when she steps out from the shadows so I can see her. It was her, Kameko, the girl from my dream. She stood there in full view, her pale white hair blew in the wind gently. It is long and wavy. She moved her hair away from her moss green eyes. They sparkled in the moon light. She has very pale skin like she has never seen daylight in her whole life. She was short but not too short, like 5'5. She is curvy and I couldn't help but look her over admiring her full figured body. A soft smile came across her pink lips.
"Hello Itachi. I have been waiting for you." She says casually as if we have been friends for years. "I know you already know who I am but let me introduce myself. I am Oshiro Kameko, but you can call me Kameko." She bows, her white hair dropping around her.
"Wait, how do you know my name?" I ask a little bit taken aside by this.
"I have known you our whole lives." She says in a sweet voice that makes me feel calm.
"I don't remember you." I say stepping back again.
"Of course not. I locked away your memories of me." She says walking slowly toward me.
"W-why would you do that?" I say, my voice beginning to shake.
"For your safety. The Normies are trying to find me and I could never put you in danger." Now she is standing an arms length away.
"Why are they trying to find you?" I ask, curiosity taking over my nervousness.
"Well more like they are looking for us." She says looking deep into my eyes as if she was looking into my soul.
"Us?!" I shout a bit louder than I should have.
"Please keep your voice down." She says backing up a bit.
"Oh, sorry. But what do you mean us?" I ask calming down a bit as the butterflies in my stomach start to subside.
"I can't tell you here. Meet me after school in the room in the back of the library. I'll tell you there." She then turns and walks to the iron door.
I watch after her as the door swings shut behind her. I stand there in shock for a minute then the bell rings ending lunch. I take my time but head back to class and take my seat. The rest of the day I couldn't pay attention to any of the lessons. I couldn't stop think about the girl and the conversation we had on the roof. What should I do? Should I go and find out or should I just go home after school? I fought with myself the rest of the day trying to make a choice. Finally the day ended and I rushed out of the class and headed straight to the library. I must know what she means. I reach the door and turn the handle slowly. The door creaks open as if no one has used this door in years. Inside the small room smelled of dust and loneliness. There is a small window that faces the back of the school over the track. There sat a table and two chairs, another smaller table sat under the window. There was a microwave and a hot plate with a tea kettle on it. Two cups sit next to the tea kettle along with tea leafs. It looked like an old club room. I walk in and shut the door behind me and sit down in one of the chairs. A little after I sat down she walked in and walked to the kettle and began to brew tea.
I cleared my throat and said "I came as you asked."
without looking at me she replied. "I never doubted you wouldn't."
"So what do you mean the Normies are looking for us?" I ask just try to get an answer so I could leave this creepy room.
"Would you like a cup of tea?" She asks as if she is trying to avoid my question.
"Kameko, why are they looking for us?" I ask again.
She walks to the table and sets two cups down. "Before I tell you I must know if you will trust me."
"Trust you? I don't even know you." I say getting a bit irritated.
She lets a heavy sigh. "Close your eyes Itachi."
I hesitate for a second then do as she asks. I sit there quietly with my eyes closed not sure whats coming next. Then I hear it, her chair scraping against the floor as she pushes it back. I feel her hands touch my face, then she kisses me. My eyes shoot open, I look at this beautiful girl kissing me. My face burns red as she pulls away slowly. She looks me in the eyes and smiles. The room then begins to spin and tilt. Black spots begin to fill my vision and I feel like I'm falling. I try to ask her what is going on.
"W-what... did you...do?" The words fall out of my mouth sounding slurred as if I was drunk.
"You'll understand shortly my love." She says as she begins to blur and melt away from my vision. "Just relax and let it take you." She says brushing my cheek once more.
I try to fight off the feeling. I try to stay conscious and take in my surroundings. But I couldn't win, the black spots take over my vision. The last thing I remember was a smile on the lips that just kissed me.
