Martin POV
Cody grabbed my hand and began walking towards the tree we first met at.
"Cmon, Martin, cheer up!" She cooed, twirling her hair around her finger , making we want to carass her face and tell her that she was the sun to my stars, the reason I breathed.
She gave a small gasp as her foot slid on a flat rock and we went toppling to the ground, leaving me right on top of her.
"S-Sorry..." I muttered, but she was blushing and looking on the verge of tears, so I quickly got off of her and began tracing her face with my fingers.
"Oh Martin...I'm just...I'm sorry...what happened...it was my fault..." She whispered, but gave a small moan as I pressed my mouth against hers.
She began to shake with tears as she melted into me. She remembered all the times he had kissed her, comforted her, and how she was planning on him having her second chance.
"Its okay...you don't have to be scared, Cody...Please know that while I'm here, nothing will happen to you..." I murmured, cupping her face in my hands, as she began to cry softly, memories of him crossing her mind, making her cry harder.
"I want to believe that...I really do, but I can't!" She wailed, and I grabbed her, holding her close and very quickly gave her a kiss on her nose, rocking her back and forth as she cried.
We read some books, mostly soppy terrible ones from free baskets.
After that, she had fallen asleep, and I carried her to the car, and covered her with my coat, her lips parted, begging me come closer, and press mine on hers.
But never would I do that, for what happened to her made her sensitive to that stuff.
I drove into the night.
(At Home)
I opened the car door and carried Cody inside, and laid her on our bed, and grabbed her a pair of silk pajamas, her favorite kind.
I walked to the kitchen and got some water in the kettle, boiling some water for hot chocolate.
I put her favorite movie, The Fall, in the DVD player and I put her favorite fleece blanket on the couch, and carefully lifted her to the couch, and wrapped her in the blanket, and left a note explaining he went to the store and watch a movie and relax.
He then left, missing her already.
