The Mocking Jay

Mocking Jay's POV

As I entered Robin's room he immediately closed his door and pushed my back to the wall taking both of our masks off.

I stared into his beautiful blue eyes the only shade of blue I could ever tolerate.

He stared at me with a blank face then he leaned in and I did too.

Our lips touched and at that moment I was lost in the kiss, I was lost with him.

We kissed until we needed to catch our breathes and when we finally pulled away he leaned his forhead on mine and smiled faintly.

"I've been meaning to do that for a very long time,"he breathed out.

"Took you long enough."

We both laughed and stared into each others eyes.

There was a feeling in the pit of my stomach that made me realize I was falling for him all over again even after everything that went wrong.

"I should pack," he pushed himself off the wall and went into his closet. As he walked away I got off the wall and sat on his bed meanwhile he opened his clost door and it consisted of nothing but his Robin uniforms.

"Wow you know there are other clothes in the world," I teased.

"I don't have time for a civilian life anymore Jay."

I furrowed my eyebrows and stared at him confused.

"I have a name Di-"

Like a lightning bolt Robin was in front of me with his hand over my mouth.

He stared at me with his ocean blue eyes and whispered,"they dont know."

Everything pieced together like a puzzle the uniforms, the masks.

"You never told them did you?"

I stared at him amazed he left us because of the rules Batman enfored for our saftey yet here he is still listening to Batman.

"Of course not it could be a danger to people on both sides, you know that," he continued to pack his clothes and I sat silently waiting for him to finish.

He zipped up his duffle bag and then walked to the door and signaled me to follow.

As we walked he held my pinky with his, just like when we were kids.

The rest of the Titans were in the living room area waiting for us

"You know Robin any slower. We have to hurry to meet the League" Beast boy complained throwing his hands up in the air.

"You know BB the league will still be there when we arrive," I laughed at his eagerness to meet the league.

"We should get going Mocking Jay, did you bring the bioship," Robin turned to me.

I froze and chuckled nervously," You see the thing is I kind of got dropped off here, Miss M had a mission and offered to take me here."

"Hey its no problem we can take my baby," Cyborg flashed some car keys and walked to wear I assume the garage is.

I followed all the Titans as BB and Cy talked about their favorite Leaguers amd Raven read a book with her bag floating next to her.  Starfire on the other hand was keeping a close eye on me, I could sense the tension between her and Robin no dount they had or have something together, which was a punch to the gut even after what happened between us just a few moments ago.

He just doesn't seem to change.

I was so lost in thought i hadn't realized we reached the garage until Cyborg honked his horn.

I whistled at his car, he must've made it all from scratch it seemed to have the same programming as most of his body did.

"Sweet ride, you designed it right?" I just stood there admiring the car.

"Yupp it's all from up here," Cy tapped his head and smiled proudly.

"Awesome, maybe you can help me design something for feild missions, I could use your expertise." I stared at him hopefully and he slightly blushed at the compliment I gave him amd nodded his head.

The Titans filed into the car except for Robin, he was strapping his bag to his cycle.

"Want to ride with me Jay?"

Robin held out a green helmet helmet and smiled.

As I reached out for the helmet Starfire appeared out of no where.

"Oh but the Mocking Jay can fit into Cyborg's vehicle that he calls 'baby,' there is room for her," she sounded so nervous and determined to keep us apart.

"Um no thanks Starfire I'll go with Robin we'll lead the way," I politely rejected her offer.

She nodded slowly and went into Cyborgs car and sulked in her seat.

"Well the League won't wait forever, we should've been there by now everyone is anxious.

Robin passed me the helmet and I secured it onto my head.

I sat behimd Robin on his cycle then the garage doors opened and we were off.
