hunger

She climbs out of bed, sheets tossed aside and pillows kept were she once was. Darkness creeping in the corneas of her eyes, hunger strives in the pit of her stomach. Growling begging for attention, needing something to survive.

Showering ignoring the growls, dressed in jeans and a t-shirt and out the door. Grabbing the mask on the way out. Smiles that blind and laughs that hide. No man knows what's actually going on inside. Occasionally wondering why she goes on if all her mother and other people see is the disgusting large size of her self.

Painted in names and stares, constantly being reminded 'fat ass', 'thunder thighs', 'wide load'; never understanding why they can't get past that. To see what is really on the inside.

Times like these are ones she hides, only she knows the pain and suffering that happens on the inside.

Walking back into her home, she hangs her coat and drops the mask. Tears fall and hunger still calls.
