Sitting in the rain, feeling each clear drop hit my body, soaking my clothes and freezing my body to the core. Headlights shine through the storm bright and white. Headed straight at me, looking down I close my eyes, thinking, wondering how this could've gone differently.
I should've said yes, should've stayed, kept a smile on my face. Not yelled, left, and settled a deep frown on my face. My cheek swelled and bruised, my arm ringed in blue, hair knotted and strewn.
Once the most important person, now no more than a once beautiful mirage.
The headlights are closer; the rain is falling faster; my heart is pounding...Screech
Crunch
Eeeeerch
Ahhhh
Thump
Whoosh
Now that girl lies, battered and bruised on the paved road. Eyes closed and now at peace in her end.
