Sparks Igniting - A Warrior Cats Roleplay

~Welcome and Basic Guide~

The warrior twisted and ducked blindly, only dim starlight to give any sort of clue to his attacking opponent. His pelt was warm with blood against the cool, cloudless night. Even worse, his pelt was a bright ginger while his opponent's was a jet black, leaving him with nowhere to hide. He leaped to get away from the ruthless claws, only finding himself on his opponent's back. It was a good start, but his balance was off. The battle could take any turn now...

"Retreat!" The voice boomed over the valley of battling cats; shortly after, a snarl. "Don't believe this battle won't be forgotten, Lavastar."

"Never." Growled another. "EmberClan will remain victorious in the end."

The sky soon glowed as the lava flowed quietly down the slopes, dividing the battle lines clearly; every vicious, bloodstained face now clear.

All that remained were the sparks.

Welcome
Welcome, warrior. We will be featuring two clans, EmberClan and LavaClan, who reside on a volcanic island. Please note that these are shield volcanoes, so when get do erupt only small streams of lava will come out. In other words, the volcano will not blow its top off or collapse in on itself. We are also the only ones permitted to cause eruptions.

Anyways, there are four main volcanic mountains on this island, two that stretch beyond the clouds and two more gentle sloping volcanoes that all meet in a narrow valley. The two largest volcanoes are Moonpeak and Starpeak, while the other volcanoes are EmberClan and LavaClan territory.

Territories
~Moonpeak~
The Moonpeak is where every new moon, two selected guardians, one from each clan, will battle. This was supposed to serve as an offering to StarClan to erase all war, even though most of the time the clans are fighting anyways. The two guardians will travel solo to the summit, and meet with each other to fight. Death is not considered honorable, but isn't restricted. The battle will last from sunset to moonhigh, or until one of the guardians is killed. (The password is S^~@, pm it to us). When the battle ends without death, the winner will travel back to their clan, while the other will sit a lonesome vigil with no food or contact until the next moonhigh. If the battle ends with a death, the winner will instead have to sit vigil, then toss the dead body over the cliff into the sea. This is how all deaths are honored in the clans.

~Starpeak~
The Starpeak is where every full moon, the messengers from each clan will meet at the summit to share with StarClan. Messengers are the only ones permitted to set foot on the Starpeak. There is no fighting there, it is a place of peace.

~EmberClan Territory~
One of the smaller volcanoes is EmberClan territory, which ends at the start of neighboring peaks and ends on one side at the sea. The territory consists of thick rainforests that only recede at the shoreline, and their camp is located directly at the summit. Many streams run down the sides of the mountain that can turn angry when it rains, threatening to drown any victim in its path.

~LavaClan Territory~
The LavaClan territory is much more open than EmberClan's, the territory instead being covered with small, sharp lava rocks. The camp is located on the farthest side of the volcano, ensuring safety and privacy from EmberClan. The territory ends at the neighboring peaks and on one side ends at the sea.

Ranks
The clan ranks are:
Leader: The one in charge of the clan, has nine lives received from StarClan
Deputy: In next in line to be leader, serves the clan wherever needed
Messenger: Speaks with StarClan and the other clan peacefully
Elder: The wise, retired cats, council leaders in their decisions
Healer: Uses herbs and remedies to treat injured and sick cats
Guardian: Fights and protects the clan
Hunter: Provides prey and resources for the clan
Apprentice: A young cat training to be a healer, hunter or guardian
Mother: A she-cat who is pregnant or nursing kits (Messengers may not have kits)
Kit: A cat under the age of six moons, becomes an apperentice for healer, hunter, guardian at six moons
