CHAPTER 3

Every time a week passed I felt weaker. My back pain and abdominal pain had become way worst, I had 4 huges lymph nodes on my neck, my urine had become darker as the weeks went by. I had lost 50 pounds out of nowhere. I had a light stool colour and because my skin would get dry, I was extremely itchy. The nausea and the vomiting was weekly including the diarrhea. But what really got my parents attention was my jaundice skin, that's when they started giving a fuck.

"Efstathia are you ok?" My mom asked petting my head.

Yes yes actually I'm perfectly fine, I've just been vomiting for a few months and I've been sick since forever, I have plenty of scabs caused by the itching, and the lumps on my neck haha those are just lymph nodes. But why? Do you care about me now?... Only I couldn't really say that. "I feel sick mama." I pretended to faint and fall into her arms. My mother is freaking out but not because I was dying right in front of her, nuh uh that would be to good to be true. I heard her scream:

"MICHAEL MICHAEL! what about are New Years Eve Party?!"

I actually did end up fainting because I found myself in a hospital bed with 3 doctors around me.

"Efstathia? Efstathia dear can you here

me?" One of the doctors asked shaking me a little. "Hi dear, we're gonna find out what's the matter with you ok?

I nodded. Then the other doctor told me that she would have to get blood sample. She grabbed my arm and said she counted to three.

"1" That bitch inserted the needle at 1!

"Thank you dear." And they all left the room and I went back to sleep.

I woke up with the sound of my mother's irritating voice.

"My New Years Party is ruined because of her! Why are the doctors not back yet?!" My mom shouted in the room... I didn't know if she noticed but we weren't alone, there were at least 10 more patients just as sick as I was... I thought.

"Laura assis-toi s.t.p mon amour."

Papa said grabbing her arm for my mother to settle down.

(Laura please sit down my love.)

Eventually she did settle down and the doctors did enter the room.

"Mrs. and Mr. LaBelle?" The doctor said.

"It was about time you guys arrived." My mom said arrogantly.

Woman shut up! Shut up! Shut up!!

Then there was the amazing countdown, you know, since it's the New Year. People were excited that day and the hospital was packed and people were ready to yell at the top of their lungs just for a countdown but me...
