Man, my belly got bigger and bigger. I'm now officially 40 weeks pregnant and ready to pop at any moment. Then, it came. I was at home with Shawn and we were watching the movie "22 Jump Street."
"Hey babe, I'm gonna go and get some ice cream," I said.
"Alright. Can you get me some for me too please babe?" asked Shawn.
"What kind Shawn baby?"
"Mint chocolate chip please."
"Ok," I said and then it happened. My water broke and I was going into labor.
"SHAWN! IT'S TIME!" I yelled.
"Ok. Let's get to the hospital," he said and we got in his car and drove off to the hospital. We made it to the hospital and we walked in and walked towards the front desk in the waiting room.
"Hi. My girlfriend's water broke and she's going into labor," he said to the nurse at the front desk.
"Ok. Just follow me," she said and she took us to a private hospital room. When we got there, I changed into a hospital robe and the nurse checked on me and then she left us. So it was just me and Shawn. Around 12am, contractions got worse and I was in a lot of pain.
"It's alright baby. It's gonna be alright," said Shawn.
"I love you Shawn baby."
"I love you too Ali baby." Then we kissed each other and the doctor came in with the same nurse.
"Alright Ali, are you ready to push?" asked the doctor and I nodded my head yes.
"Alright, ready and push." I started pushing. I was pushing with all my might. It took me a few hours to get that baby out and I was exhausted.
"Sweetheart, one more push and then the baby's out," said the doctor.
"Ok," I said and around 3 a.m. with final push, I saw the baby.
"It's a baby boy," said the nurse and me and Shawn started to cry tears of joy. Oh my God. He was so beautiful. Then, Shawn cut the umbilical chord, they wrapped him up in a blue blanket and put a blue hat on him. They handed him to Shawn and he just had the biggest smile on his face. Then he handed him to me and I smiled.
"Welcome to the world Chase," I said.
"That's a nice name. Chase," said Shawn and we kissed each other. We finally welcomed a baby boy into the world. "Chase Edward Spencer."😊😊😊😊😊😊😊👶🏻👶🏻👶🏻👶🏻👶🏻👶🏻👶🏻
