So, here is chapter two of my fic :) I hope you all like it and please give me feedback if you read it. I want to know if you like the story so far! x

I headed home soon after my conversation with Harry and I was feeling a bit more positive. I knew it probably wouldn't last long though. It never really did. And sure enough, I was right.

As I walked in my home, I noticed my answering machine flashing to tell me that I had one new message. I hit PLAY as I went to unpack my stuff at the coffee table and I swallowed hard as I recognized the voice on the machine.

"So listen, I can't find my Arctic Monkeys CD anywhere and you might still have it. If you do, can you bring it to my place? I feel like listening to them and I know you always liked to steal my music. So yeah, talk to you later, I guess." The machine beeped as the message ended.

I rolled my eyes and sighed. Was he for real? Even if the CD was here somewhere, why would I go to drop it off for him? He was living with Sam now and I would rather not have to confront the both of them. If he wanted the CD that bad, he could just buy a new one. I can't believe he would just call me after 3 months of not speaking. Honestly, who did he think he was? I wanted nothing to do with either of them anymore and I could honestly care less about his stupid CD.

I pressed DELETE on the answering machine and I wish I had any clue on how I could block his number because I didn't wanna hear from him at all. When I heard his voice like that, it just brought back too many bad memories. I sighed softly and plopped down on the couch, trying to keep the memories out of my head. Everything was flooding back to me and I did not want to think about him or all the times we shared together. I thought he was my true love. I thought we would spend the rest of our lives together. But, when I look back at it, he was always a dead-beat. He had no job and he was really just living off of me. And I can't believe my best friend would go behind my back to sleep with him.

I shook my head immediately, knowing I was thinking about it too much. All I knew was that they do deserve each other.

I sorted through my papers and started to fill out the evaluation forms one by one. After about an hour of that, I put them all away to be sent home with the children the next day. I went upstairs and changed into some sweat pants and a grey tank top. I put my hair up in a tight ponytail and laced up my sneakers. I really needed to get some air and just be out of my empty house. I went outside and ran down the sidewalk, my iPod playing in my ears. My music was pretty loud and I ran all the way to the park when I decided to stop. I heard muffled voices behind me.

"Miss Lobato! Miss Lobato!" I turned around and saw little Alex running towards me. I giggled as he said my name with a 'b' instead of a 'v'. I squatted down so he could run into my arms. I saw a man running right behind him. He had some facial hair and bright blue eyes. He was quite handsome and he had scruffy hair.

He caught up to Alex and laughed softly. "Alex, you gotta let a lad catch up to you before running off like that!" He looked down at the boy.

Alex pouted up at him. "Sowwy, Uncle Louis.."

Louis laughed and shook his head. "Aw kid, I can't stay mad at you." Louis took his hand and smiled at me as I stood back up. "You must be the teacher then. I'm Louis Tomlinson." He held out his other hand to me and I shook it, smiling friendly at him. While he spoke, I noticed he had an even stronger British accent than Harry did.

"It's nice to meet you. Can I ask how you know I'm Alex's teacher?" I asked him curiously as I took my hand away.

Louis smiled at me. "Well Alex goes on about you a lot and Harry was just talking to me earlier about you. He said you were real pretty so I figured you must be the one."

I blushed right away and smiled shyly, almost asking him to confirm that Harry thinks I'm pretty. "Yes that would be me..," I laughed softly. "So do you watch Alex often then?"

He nodded and put his other hand in his pocket, still holding Alex's tiny hand. "Yeah I do. He's a great kid." Louis talked about him as if he wasn't standing there and I watched Alex look up at him with admiration. "I try to help Harry out the best I can. He's my best friend he's always kinda been like my younger brother." Louis lifted Alex up, holding him in his arms. "It does get hard at times though. Harry works so hard and he is so tired by the time he comes home and Alex is usally out by then. They really don't get to spend too much time together."

I frowned deeply. Harry did really have it hard. It must be so difficult for him to be putting in so much effort to give his child a good life and he didn't even get to really spend time with him. That meant that he doesn't get to see him grow up really.

I bit my lip. "And what about you, Louis? Do you work then? If you don't mind me asking..?" I always tended to be curious and I didn't want Louis to think I was coming off as too nosy. I really didn't mean to pry. This was their personal life, after all.

Louis smiled at me. "Don't worry about it, love. And well I watch Alex most of the time and I have a part-time job working at a bookstore. I don't work too often though. Just weekends, mainly. My cousin owns the place and that's how I get to keep my job, really." Louis chuckled softly.

Alex whined, poking at Louis' face. "I'm hungryyy!" He pouted at him.

Louis shook his head, laughing. "I guess that's my cue to take him home for dinner. I'll have to dig through Harry's cabinets."

I bit my lip and widened my eyes as I thought of an idea. "Actually, if you'd be up for it, you could always come over to my place. I was planning on making a lasagna tonight and I'll have plenty of leftovers since i live alone." I smiled softly. I really needed a distraction and I didn't really wanna be home alone right now. Plus, I knew it would help Harry out if I cooked some of my food for Alex instead of him having to worry about feeding him this night.

Louis shrugged. "Sure why not? What do you say to that, kiddo?" He asked Alex.

Alex nodded fast and clapped his hands together. "Yayyy!"

Louis smirked. "I think that's a yes from him. What's your first name then, Miss Lovato?," Louis asked me as we started walking back to my place.

I smiled softly at him. "It's Demi."

Louis grinned. "Well, thank you for inviting us over for dinner, Demi. I'll try to use my best table manners." Louis smirked at me.

I laughed softly. "That would be much appreciated.."

Well, today had been a pretty eventful day, and it looked like I was already making friends.
