Someone once said that death is inevitable and that there is no escape from it, I question that theory. But I'll never be able to explain why, being I haven't seen a living, breathing person in over two-hundred years.

I have my mother and brother but I mean a real person. One with a beating heart, one with blood gushing through their veins and will die when wounded. I've been the only one stranded in this hell hole of a log cabin. My mother has taken by brother Allan to town but she says she doesn't trust me yet, she says I'm not ready because of what I did over 70 years ago when I cleared out a whole city, but that was when I was still learning to control my life and not let the beast take over. She believes the first person I see I will loose it and will suck every last drop of their perfect blood and blow our cover once again. So she keeps me hidden from society in the mountains of Sterling West Virginia, she doesn't necessarily care about the killing of people but more of the protection of my brother and I, and keeping our secret hidden. So we move every 50 years so that questions won't arise. But for some reason we always end up back here, in Sterling. She seems to like it, she says it reminds her of dad. He was the last Human. Last one I've ever seen, he didn't choose our life style so mother ended him. She felt it was necessary.

To protect us, because the world is not yet ready to know about us. The blood suckers that live in the Sterling Mountains. Me my bother and my mother the only last survivors of our kind.
