Before we left we had a huge feast with lots of ghosts. We had rotisserie chicken, steak, French fries, burgers, hotdogs, Takis, pop, water, and anything else good on the 21st century.
"So you didn't get in?"a ghost named Kiley asked.
"You seem sad,"another two ghosts, Jaylen and Sierra said in unison.
"Yeah, I didn't get in heaven and have to go on a quest with 1 cat, 2 Angels, and 3 demons. Which two demons like me. One is too young and ugly, while the other one is cute but is the devil's son."
"Oh, your talking about Shang," Kiley said. "You know Shang really hasn't liked anyone in a long time, you must be special."
"Do you do anything?" Jaylen asked.
"Well I sing," I told the nosy ghosts.
"That must be why," Kiley said. "Shang loves music."
"Oh really? I think I like him even more now," I said nervously. "Hey Kiley, do you want to go on the quest with me? I'll ask Antonio and see what he says!"
"OK sure!" Then we realized that while we were talking Shang was sleeping... On the cake?! I walked towards Shang trying to hide my laughter.
Then a man in a cheff outfit walked in the room (probably the man who baked the cake.) Dropped the glasses of punch he was holding. There was a loud crash filled by muffled screams.
Then Shang lifted his head unaware of what he was sleeping on. After that I couldn't hold it anymore and busted out laughing. Then Shang realized he was on a cake and screamed as he fell to the ground.
That made my laughter even louder and more uncontrollable. Shang's face was plastered with chocolate icing and candles. But when I realized Shang's face was also filled with embarrassment I stopped, feeling sorry for him. Everyone else was also laughing loudly.
So I picked Shang up of the ground and helped him get the cake off. He needed to wash his shirt so we went to the public restroom. Inside he wiped icing off his face. When he was done he took off his shirt and put it in the sink. I quickly turned away.
"I see you've noticed my abbs," he said smiling.
"Stop acting like a jerk, jerk!" I said playfully.
"But seriously, I really am grateful for what you did for me. Even IF you're the one who started laughing at me on the first place."
"No problem, I think. So is your shirt back on?"
"Well I can't put it back on."
"Why not?" I asked while I turned around to face him.
"Because there's a stain on it, and Shang does NOT wear stained shirts."
"Your stubborn, you know that?"
"Yeah I know, but really thank you for what you did. That kind of things makes me want to do good."
When he said that something was different in his eyes, he was sincere.
"Why can't you do good things?"
"Because of my dad, he's the devil and so I don't even get to go to earth it even heaven. What I mean is, I don't get a chance. So why should I try to do good if I'm expected to do bad. There's no point of no one believes in me..."
After he said that he looked down at his refection in the mirror. I put my hand on his shirtless back.
"I believe you can do good, AND that you WILL go to heaven."
"Thanks." We started at each other for what seemed like forever. Then Shang leaned in for a kiss, and I didn't stop him. I was frozen in place. His soft lips touched mine. His eyes were closed mine we're slowly falling down. I couldn't help it. Then the door opened. It was Nancy. I quickly pulled away.
"Um...I came for Malikah but I'll go off I'm interrupting something."
"Oh no! You weren't interrupting anything. I was just helping Shang with his cake incident."
Shang looked a little sad.
I walked out the room with Nancy.
"So what do you need me for?"
"Well I don't need you the ghosts do. They want to do karaoke. Kiley thought it would give your points with Shang, but it doesn't look like you need help with that."
"Stop it!" I said while blushing.
"OK, but will you sing please?"
"OK, I will."
