I stopped on stage and hooked up the mic.
"What will you be singing?" Sierra asked. "Um what about a song I wrote called shooting star?"
"OK, go ahead!" Jaylen said.
When the music started Shang walked out of the restroom, still shirtless. "Stubborn," I thought. He winked at me and I lost my concentration and missed the first verse.
"Can I start again?"
"Sure," said Nancy.
The music started again but this time I was ready.
"I'm in your soul but I'm in the sky. I never got a chance to say hello or goodbye. I make wonders happen when you see my light. Cause I'm a shooting star. I'm a shooting star you see upon your window seal. You close your eyes make a wish and hope for it to come real. I'm a shooting star, I'm your shooting star. I swim through acres and acres of galaxies, just to find the one place that I belong. But now I think it's time for me to stop searching, cause I know more I belong in your heart."
Everyone was clapping. It was simply amazing.
"Would anybody else like to come up and sing? No? OK goodnight everybody." Said a ghost I didn't know.
But then Ashley the cat walked on stage.
"Well it looks like we have one more singer tonight." Then Ashley started singing jingle bells over and over again.
When she finally finished everyone was clapping while the angel cat was bowing. Some ghosts even threw roses at Ashley.
"I wonder if they speak cat..."
