*The next day the sun was shining and the birds were singing beautiful songs. Considering yesterday was quite gloomy this was a huge turnaround. It was a pleasant surprise for the town as it had been gloomy all week. Summer was slowly drifting away as fall took it's place. There was a nice breeze in the air and a warm color engulfing the town. Michael woke up to his window cracked and the air rushing in from outside.*

"Oh..." He said sleepily.
"Must've left that open last night..."

*He closed the window and started for the kitchen hearing clanking noises. As he got closer to the top of the stairs he could smell the sweet scent of pancakes and bacon.*

"Good Morning, Mom." He said sluggishly
She looked at him, disgusted, and walked over to him.
"Who taught you to speak like that to me?!" She slapped him and went back to her business.

*He sighed and walked back to his room with a tear slowly creeping out of the corner of his eye. His mom found out he was gay when he accidentally started talking about a cute guy in front of her. After that she basically enslaved him. She barely fed him any food and made him work to stay in the house. He would have to do all of the cleaning, cooking, and just about any chore you could think of. The only time his mom would do stuff is if she just felt like doing it herself. Which was rare.*

(Michael's Head) Why is she like this? She knows I love her! Why does she hate me so much? I can't stand this!!

*It has been going on everyday since he let it slip, which was a long time ago. Yet he still couldn't get used to it. He walked over to his bed and flopped down on it. Shortly after, he fell asleep.*

*Ben was walking to school with his earphones in when Lizzy came running up to him. He took out his earphones as he could clearly see she was distressed. She was already yelling inaudible words at him by the time he paused his music.*

"Calm down calm down... Just slowly tell me what you're so freaked about." He said with a calming voice.
"M-- Michael!! He didn't meet me at the-- at the corner!!" She yelled in between breaths.
"The corner?" He questioned.
"We always meet at the corner where our neighborhoods meet. We always walk together!" She says pouting slightly.
"Well maybe he woke up late, or took a different route."
"No No he would never do that!! I always walk with him!! We made a promise!!" She looked as if she was about to cry as she said this.
"I'm sure he's fine... let's just walk the rest of the way together." He said trying to cheer her up but clearly flustered about what she had said.

(Ben's Head) Why doesn't he meet and walk with me in the morning? I mean we get along well right? Wait wait it's no time to be thinking about that!! I wonder where he is. Is he ok? Maybe something bad happened!!

*In the midst of his worrying he realizes they have made it to school.*

"Well, I go this way." Lizzy said pointing down a long hallway.
"Oh, bye then. Tell me if you find out anything new about Michael!" He exclaims waving to her as she struts down the hall.

(Ben's Head) He usually doesn't miss school like this... I hope he's ok...

*He walked into class and sat at his normal seat ignoring the smart remarks from the other students. Soon class started and he couldn't even do the work. He was thinking way to much about Michael. But he couldn't stop.*

*Ben couldn't stand the thought of Michael being sick. So he decided to pay him a visit after school. He has only been to his house once or twice before. Those times were for study sessions with Lizzy as she is one of the smartest people he knew. After the bell rang he shot out of class speed walking down the hallways to find his way out of the labyrinth that is their school. Once he made it out and onto the sidewalks by the road he tried to remember which way to go.*
