Chapter 2- Rejection

BLAZE POV

I nodded and then we jumped from tree to tree with ease silently, until I got to the tree near the cottage. Jamie got off his phone, and started pacing. I dropped down without a sound and hid in the darkness, Slate mirrored my actions. I snuck up to Jamie, covered his mouth with wolfsbane infused cloth and injected it in his neck, then he went limp.

"Let's bring him to Alpha Grey." I whispered trying not to wake Jamie up.

Slate nodded and carried his body to the car. We changed into normal clothes and started driving to Alpha Grey's territory. Once we arrived, we drove to his house. When we got down the car Slate carried Jamie to Alpha Grey's house.

"ALPHA GREY!!" I shouted. Quick heavy steps started to be heard after I shouted.

"You have him?" Alpha Grey asked.

This was the first time I saw Alpha Grey, unfortunately his good looks don't work on me. The only person who could do that is the person who is willing to melt my ice cold heart.

"Yes, I do. But first, you have to give me the money." I say in a monotone. Alpha Grey started clenching his fists until his knuckles turned white, not my fault I am stubborn.

"Kaden! Come down." Alpha Grey said.

The scent of maple and fresh rain filled my nose, I instantly got addicted to the smell. The boy coming down the stairs was very attractive, something is making me drawn to him. Maybe I'm his ma- No I'm not. I'm am assassin, I don't have a mate. He has blue eyes, platinum blond hair and a defined body. I can see his muscles through his shirt.

"Mate." Kaden whispered quietly. I froze when he said that, mate? That's not possible, I can't be mated to a wolf, it never happened. It's impossible to be mated to an assassin. Never in the history of supernatural this has happened.

"Alpha Grey, may I ask why you called him?" Slate said suspiciously.

"Well, Kaden here has a mate. Guess who she is?" Alpha Grey said.

"Me." I say glaring at Alpha Grey.

"How is this possible?" Slate asks curiously.

"Maybe little Miss Jade Angel. Didn't tell you her secret." Alpha Grey says. That beach, he's pushing me. He's so gonna get what he deserves.

"Don't push me Alpha. I can kill you right here and right now, if I wanted to." I say enraged.

"What did you not tell me Blaze?" Slate asks while glaring.

"That's for you to find out, and for me to tell." I say while walking to Kaden. I laced his hand with mine and dragged him out of the house. We went into the small, but beautiful garden.

"Hey." Kaden says with a smile.

It's so ADORABLE. Wait, what? Since when did I become a softie. Stupid damn mate bond.

"Sorry, about Grey. He can be a bit crazy sometimes." He says with an I'm-sorry-but-my-brother-is-an-ass look.

"It's fine. I've dealt with worse." I say with a light chuckle.
