Rose was so worried about school, she forgot to sleep. She stayed up all night, she didn't put it to waste though. She decided to write a letter to her dad.
Dear Dad,
How's England? I'm really scarred for tomorrow. I stood up to some bullies the other day, and now I have too face them at school. I wish you were here. When do you think the war will be over so I can see you again? Mazie is doing fine if you were wondering. Mom is still worried about you getting hurt. You should probably send her a picture of you so she knows you're ok. We have a bake sale coming up at school and Uncle George is helping Mazie and I bake double fudge brownies. He is using the money from the book store to help buy us ingredients. Maybe I can send you one. I'm going to send you my favorite book from the book shop. Right now it's a book called The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum. Love you!
Love, your daughter,
Rose Walker
