Hey guys. Just a quick note here. I had written this for the Phoenix Wright Kink Meme.
Original prompt: Klavier dies, saving someone. (Perferably Apollo) I want either Apollo's reaction, or Kristoph's. That's right. Kristoph's. I mean, its his little brother we're talking about. He's bound to feel some sort of sadness to hear he's gone. I want some depressing, sad angst. Make me cry, anon!
Well, here goes nothing.

Everyone had left already. Yet you lingered behind, because you were hurt the most, even though there was not even a scratch on you.
The rain was softly pounding down around you. You paid it no heed - your only attention was on the stone in front of you. It was beautifully carved - you'd give it that much. It was engraved perfectly, with the music notes and small, different lyrics to the songs he had written and loved very much. His symbol was carved in the center, grabbing your eyes as you scanned over the tomb. It reminded you of him - hell, everything reminded you of him - and it stood out as probably what you'll use to remember him by for the rest of your life. The text of the grave were in the cursive that you wouldn't be able to read unless you actually tried.
It may have been beautiful, but you still loathed it in every sense of the word.
You were alone. And you were convinced you would be forever.
Sure, you had Mr. Wright, you had Trucy, and several other people...yet it just wasn't the same without him.
Clutching a bouquet of different colored flowers - his favorite, you knew - you fell to your knees. The impact made your knees hurt a bit, but you didn't care. Why would you? Nothing mattered much anymore.
The one thing that did was now gone. And he died saving you from an explosion and fire a gang had caused.
Why?
That was the only thing running through your head. Why would he save you? You weren't anything special. You were a simple defense attorney who had plain interests and plain hobbies. You weren't important. You wondered why as you knelt there, gazing into the stone, as if beating it at a staring contest would win him back.
But he was never coming back.
Minutes felt like hours as you sat there, as dead brown eyes gazed into the grave. You didn't move a muscle, and you felt numb. Yet, in all the numbness, you barely felt the cold that soaks through your clothes. Nothing seemed real for you anymore - this emotional spiral was too much -- too much--
You felt tears gather at your eyes when it dawned on you. You suddenly realized why he decided to run into that burning building to save your life, why he decided that you were worth so much more than he was.
He did it because he loved you. He loved you, and to him -- to him, you were important, you were someone special. Though you couldn't wrap your head around why, all you knew was that he loved you, and you loved him, and that it was too late. He was gone -- too far gone -- and he was never coming back.
You finally shivered at the wind as the rain picked up. You carefully, softly laid the flowers on the newly planted soil - which now looked like mud - and you stood up. Your eyes scanned over the text engraved on the rock for all eternity, before slowly disappearing into the fog and rain.
