Kidnapped

Chapter Thirteen

I would just like to point out that it is about two months later, just to skip unnecessary parts. 

Anna's Pov.

Today seemed different unlike any other days, I knew that today was the day to see if that Steve was guilty or not. I really don't know why we even have to go through all this when we already know the answer, he even admitted that he did everything. Nobody brought up Josh, he was still out there somewhere. Possibly planning something more harsher then what happened before, today would be the first time seeing Steve since that night two months ago. They didn't force me in the court room, and I didn't go in.

We got to the court house and somewhat hurried into the room, I sat down next to my dad and our lawyer. They got straight to business and brought Steve in, he was hand cuffed at his ankles and wrists. My dad told me that the other times he was never hand cuffed, but because I was here they thought it might be a good idea. He sat in the stand, he was over looking the room and his eyes met mine. He did a weird smile and his eyes stayed on mine. I didn't dare look away to look 'weak'. The rest of the hearing was a blur, besides the fact that I had to go up and talk.

I didn't just have to talk for me, I had to talk of what I knew that he did to Harry. Harry couldn't be here because they were on tour, I don't understand why they had to start it up right away but I was guessing because they didn't want the entire world mad at him. Three hours later it was time for the jury to tell us what they think, everybody in the room knew that there was another guy out there....his brother. They knew he was dangerous but nobody talked about him, today was all about Steve. 

He even admitted what was going to happen that night, they were planning on hurting me so I was close to death. I wouldn't be able to recover, the fact is that if it wasn't for Harry I could possibly be dead right now. 

I sat there with my fingers crossed, you think the answer would be guilty but this jury is weird. They carried this out longer then they needed to. The judge started talking and the only word I heard was 'guilty'.

I wanted to jump up and cheer half of this nightmare was over with, but I knew it would not be the right thing to do. The judge was talking about how he has a life sentence and should expect to never be let out. I looked at Steve, you think he would be upset that for the rest of his life he will be stuck behind bars but he didn't act like it. He was watching me, the room was silent. "Just wait and see girl, you'll be dead and that boy will never even be here to save you!" 

He half yelled, half kinda talked it. The guards took him away, he kept his eyes on me till he left the room. Everybody stood up, my dad hugged me along with my mom. I shook my lawyers hand and thanked him. Somebody hugged me from behind and I turned around and found Mitch, I hugged him. I had no idea he would be here, "You look great today." 

I looked down at my outfit which was just jeans and a plain black shirt. I was going to say something on how he was wrong but I realized he was just being nice, so I let him be. "Hey why don't we have one of our little famous parties to celebrate, just like we did before um...everything." 

I smiled, I liked that idea. We use to have little parties with just him and me. "At your house though?" He nodded, "I'll pick you up around six, then we can shop for everything and then go back to my place." We agreed on that, he walked with me and my parents outside the court house. There were a lot of news reporters outside waiting for us, they kept asking us questions but I ignored them. They would find out soon enough anyways, Mitch gave me a quick hug once we reached the car and left. I got in right away, so I could ignore the reporters. 

"Anna, maybe you should call Harry and tell him the outcome?" My dad suggested, I was about to call him but realized that he was most likely sleeping or busy with some band stuff. I looked out the window, everything outside just passing by. 

*5:50pm*

My bag was all packed to spend the night at Mitch's house since he told me he was going to be here at six. I was siting on the back porch waiting for him when my phone went off, it was Harry. "Hey." 

"Hello there" It was like I was hearing his voice for the first time in weeks, but really it has only been two days. He started going on about tour and then saying how he has gotten little sleep, I couldn't agree more. I could only take naps, I couldn't actually sleep because the nightmares would come. I then told him about what happened at the court house, "Why didn't you call me and tell me earlier?" 

I shrugged but I knew he couldn't actually see me. "I don't know....." I trailed off not actually giving him a reason on why. He sounded pretty happy about what happened though, we or well I had to worry about Josh. He was still out there and he might plan on attacking me or even taking me once again. Harry said I shouldn't worry because that was way to risky. Mitch pulled up, I told Harry I was staying at Mitch's house and that I had to go, I hanged up on him in the middle of his sentence. I got into Mitch's car putting my bag in the back seat. "Hey."

"Hi." He pulled out back into the driveway and started heading towards his house. "Mitch I thought we were going to go get some stuff for our little party?" I asked, there is a little party store by my house which is where we always buy the food. "Anna you have to listen to me okay." I nodded for him to continue. He took a deep breathe before going on, "He is at my house, and I really don't fucking know how he found out where I lived. He must have been following me, but anyways he broke in and said that if I didn't bring you to him he would kill me. Im really sorry Anna I am so sorry." 

He started crying during the last part, "Mitch who are you talking about?" 

We were at a red light, he turned to me and said the one name I never wanted to hear. 

"Josh."
