Chapter 15~ Christmas Eve and Uncle Louis' Birthday-Part1

Tasha's POV

So this was my first Christmas with my new family and also Louis' birthday, the first one to have a birthday whilst I've been adopted. All the boys family were coming to stay over Christmas, apart from ours because of the weather. The good thing is I would finally be meeting Louis and Zayn's younger sisters.

"Uncle Liam!" I screamed running over to him, giving him a huge hug.

"You alright Tasha, you only saw me last night!" I giggled, I let go and saw Sophia standing there waiting for her hug.

"Hey Sophia!" She smiled and gave me a hug saying hello back. Niall said his hellos and we walked into the kitchen.

"What's going on in here?" Sophia asked as she saw the mess, me and Niall were baking and making a cake for Louis.

"Baking... Niall wanted some cookie dough so I flicked melted chocolate at him, it wasn't hot though!" She laughed and came to help me finish baking.

"Done the cookies, and the cakes backing, icing?" I nodded and ran into the pantry coming out with lots of fondant icing.

"Dad, Uncle Liam, come help! Make it a group thing!" I shouted to wherever they were, they walked in and you saw Niall sniffing it was really funny.

"That smells so good! I think you need to make a few more batches!" He said, me and Sophia exchanged glances, I was definitely closest to her out of all the girlfriends because I was so close to Liam. We got to work on making a few more batches of cookies, just as well had finished the mixture and were about to put them in the oven the timer went off signalling the cake was done, we pulled out the 3 different sized cakes, it was going to be a tiered cake. We put the cookies in and we were really bored.

"How about we make a ginger bread house, I saw Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry in a tv show, I recorded it, we can watch and bake along at the same time." I suggested they all nodded, Niall found the program on the tv in the lounge, Liam helped me with ingredients and Sophia cleaned up lots of the mess. This was going to be so funny! "Uncle Li, what are you doing?" I asked as I saw him struggling to hold everything.

"Trying to get everything in one but it's not working." I giggled and helped him.

"We will get the decorations after we've cooked and assembled it." Sophia spoke up. We all nodded as Niall pressed play. I began measuring the ingredients out along with Paul and Mary on the tv. I was covered in half of it.

"You're covered in it Tasha!" Niall said taking a picture, guessing he was going to upload it to twitter or something. I giggled and flicked flour at Niall, it went all over his face and in his hair. We all had a great laugh and soon we were decorating the gingerbread house, and some decorations like people for the house.

"Well now that we've done this what should we do?" Liam asked.

"I've got to do the horses, Niall needs to exercise Clover and Bumble needs a walk, how about we do that." Everyone nodded and we wrapped up warm. We walked down to the stables and I got Jets tack out, I was really building up my confidence on him, I jumped 3ft the other day which was quite big considering I didn't have much confidence. Niall was getting better at riding all the time, he was jumping about 1 and a half foot. I had my confidence on Aero but the biggest I could jump on him because of his breed was 4ft, I hadn't quite jumped that on him yet.

"Nice saddle cloth!" Sophia said from behind me making me jump a bit,

"Thanks, he really suits baby and light colour blues, aero suits purple and nutmeg suits pink. Clover obviously suits green!" I said giggling, Jets saddle cloth was an aqua blue, it had had his name sown on the side, it was in a navy blue, it was a very calligraphic font, it had a few jewels around it, making it look really cute. I told his bridle and slid it on, Niall had treated me to getting him a new brow band when I gained my confidence, it was black leather with bright blue diamonds on, it really suited him, Niall was forever treating these horses! I put the saddle on and got myself ready quickly, I decided I would get on in the stable and walk to the arena.

I jumped on putting my feet in the stirrups, I still needed a block because he was so tall, Niall also got new stirrups that had about 4 diamonds going down one side of them, they were really nice.

"Come on then Jet, let's get our confidence even higher!" I said to him as we walked out the stable, he had his baby blue boots on and looked so pretty, Niall really knew what beauty is in a horse when he picked Jet. Sophia took a photo as I walked out to the field, snow falling and a layer of snow already on the ground. It was a very magical picture. I continued to walk across the field to the sand school, thank god it had a roof over it.

I walked in and picked up trot almost straight away, Jet was so smooth, he wasn't a bouncy horse in trot but had a nice bouncy canter when he needed it. Jet had the ride that made you feel like you were floating. I did a few exercises before checking his girth and popping up into canter, he did his floaty canter before I kicked him on a bit and he got his bouncy canter, Sophia watched as I cantered around the school, concentrating, I'm sure she filmed lots of little clips too. Jet was being so good, today was the day, I knew it was.

"Sophia, could you put a few jumps up please, a few small, a few crosses, a few about 3 foot and then one a bit taller than you please." I asked, she nodded and began putting up the jumps, I did a few practice jumps before doing a course, I knew Sophia was filming me but I payed no attention, I just focused.

I had gone over all the jumps apart from the one that was about 5.10ft, I was nervous I will admit but I put all my nerves behind me, I cantered him into the jump in his forward going, bouncy canter, I gave him a little squeeze and he took off, he jumped it so well, I had forgotten Sophia was even filming me, Niall and Liam actually walked in just as I cantered up to the jump, finally I concurred my fear, I had jumped massive!

I knew I could trust him, I knew that I could go bigger, Jet just made me believe I could do it!
