Chapter 2~Getting Adopted

Dans POV

''Get up Tasha!'' I nudged her slightly not really wanting to disturb her that much. She groaned and buried her face in the pillow then she pulled the covers over her head, ''You need to get up, I've got a massive surprise for you!'' with that said she pulled the covers off her face and turned to look at me.

''It's early though Dan! What's the surprise now that I'm awake!'' I smirked and said, ''It is 11:30, and the surprise is... YOU'VE BEEN ADOPTED!!!''

She jumped up out of bed and gave me a bone crushing hug. I almost fell at the impact but hugged her back. ''Thank you sooooo much for everything Dan! Don't forget me please!'' I was really going to miss her.

''Why would I forget you? You're the only one in this place that likes me and understands me! I'm really gonna miss you!'' Her eyes filled with water as she gave me another hug. ''I'm really gonna miss you Dan promise to text me!'' why wouldn't I?

''I promise now go have a shower, I will pack all your things, what do you want to wear?'' I asked walking over towards the wardrobe.

''Well obviously my amazing 'Crazy Mofo' t-shirt and erm... my black jegging things. What jumper and socks? You choose!'' I thought for a moment before saying ''Your Abercrombie jumper and Bitch socks! They all go, and your bright red vans, show 'em your worth a lot haha!''

She smiled before heading into her bathroom. ''Leave the clothes on the bed and I will get them in a minute!'' She shut the door to her bathroom. I began packing and realised how my job would change when she leaves later today.

Tashas POV

I'm getting adopted! I've been in here three weeks, kids have been in here years and yet they want to adopt me! Just in time for Halloween as well, I was really going to miss Dan though.

Through all the excitement I realized that this place wasn't that bad after all. As I stepped out the shower and wrapped the towel round my body I heard Dan yell something from my room.

''What's up Dan?'' I called hoping he'd hear, ''Was asking what collar I need to put on Bumble, the yellow and black one or not?''

Hmm what would Bumble suit best, even though she's effectively named after a bee. ''The black and yellow one but put her bee tag on it. Can you put her yellow and black bows on her ears as well please?'' I shouted as I dried myself off and started getting changed.

''Okay! Done and she looks adorable, I need to get a photo of me you her and Sam before you leave so I will always have this memory!'' he called back but it was a bit loud considering I had just walked out of the bathroom, my hair was in a messy bun but it looked like I had put a ginger lump on top of my brown hair because of my ombre that was meant to be blonde. I had done my make up but only naturally, not too much but enough to cover up the spots.

''Wow! You look really good Tasha, nails look good too!'' I looked down and remembered that the night before Dan took me to the spa and I got acrylics, they were black but the finger between my middle finger and my pinky finger was made to look like a pumpkin face where as the others looked like ghosts.

''Yeah they go well don't they haha!'' Then Bumble run up to me. I picked her up and she licked my nose! ''Well don't you look like a bee Bumble, she looks great, thanks Dan! I hope whoever is adopting me likes her.'' I sort of sighed at the last bit.

''Don't worry, they made sure they were happy to have a puppy with them.'' My smile grew once again as Dan told me that, then we had to go downstairs, it was time for me to meet my new family.

As I stepped out of my room Sam was standing there. ''So I see you're leaving, I'm gonna miss you!'' he came and gave me hug ''I'm gonna miss you too Sam, don't forget to text me every once in a while!'' he smiled ''How can I forget to text you, you're like a little sister to me now! Bumble looks like a bee haha!" I smiled looking down at my little bee!

''Group Photo!" I heard Dan say, he got one of the older kids at the home to take the picture, we took about 5, I was in the middle holding Bumble and the boys were either side of me. They were all taken on each others phones. I said one last goodbye to Sam, took a deep breath and walked down the stairs behind Dan.

I stopped in my tracks when I saw a familiar boy in the kitchen, ''Fucking hell! Dan what's Niall fricking Horan doing here?" I questioned, he shrugged and said ''Must be adopting a kid, I don't know.''

He proceeded to walk down the stairs but stopped him, ''But who?'' I was hoping he knew coz whoever was getting adopted by Niall Horan was fucking lucky!

''You!'' Dan replied simply. ''Are you actually fucking serious!'' I didn't believe him but I don't think he would lie about that. ''I am fucking serious! Now we should stop swearing we are setting a bad example for the younger kids, lets go!"

I smiled and whispered to myself ''I'm so fucking lucky! It's gonna be weird unpacking with all my posters of him and the boys though!'' Dan smirked so I'm guessing he heard me.

Nialls POV

I saw a young girl with lots of suitcases with a guy I'd say a year or so older than me, the girl looks like the ones in the pictures then I see the puppy and realise she is the one!

I started to walk out of the kitchen as they reached the bottom of the stairs but someone grabs my arm and spins me around, "Sir please stay in the kitchen, the kids around here can get a bit harsh, we just don't want you to get hurt. Tasha will come in here so you don't need to go out there." A woman of about 50 told me.

I nodded and waited for my new daughter to walk through the door of the kitchen, the door opens a crack and the guy walks in first, slowly followed by Tasha. "Hi! You are the one adopting Tasha, I just need to go over a few things with you, I am Tasha's personal carer after what she has been through, please come this way. Tasha will you stay here for just a few minutes whilst I talk to Mr Horan?"

She nodded, was it just me or did he sound a bit gay? I followed him into the other room and he told me her story. By the end of it I was in tears. I felt so sorry for her.

I needed to be more mature, I need to act like a father to her, no more messing around with girls, I had a family now and I was going to care for her like I was her biological father, I would never stop loving her! "Okay so you can meet Tasha now, just to warn you she is extremely claustrophobic so try not to corner her too much!" I understood I'm claustrophobic too!

"I won't, I know what it's like, thanks for that information Dan it really helped!" I smiled at him and he smiled back "My pleasure!" We entered the room Tasha was in and I didn't know what hit me, I opened my eyes to see Tasha hugging me really tight, I hugged her back and smiled.

"Thank you for choosing me to adopt, I hope I'm not a pain in the arse! I really love your music by the way, you have the voice of an angel!" Before I knew it I was blushing! "No problem, I need to start being more mature anyways." I laughed.

I looked down at her and realised she was wearing a 'Crazy Mofo' T-shirt "Love the shirt!" I said winking at my new daughter. I couldn't believe I was finally going to be a dad and I had an amazing daughter.

She said her goodbyes but when it got to Dan she couldn't seem to let him go. I could see how much he meant to her so I didn't rush them, he whispered something in her ear and she let go, she had a stream of tears running down her face.

As she walked over to me I gave her a massive hug and we walked out the place not looking back once. We were silent for a while and as I began putting her bags in my car she spoke.

"Bumble is really young and not well trained, would you mind if we went to pets at home and buy her a cage just so she doesn't chew anything up, or go to the toilet anywhere?" She giggled at the last part. "Yeah why not, I don't personally want to be cleaning up after the puppy so let's go!"

I knew it wasn't cruel to dogs to have them in cages, plus it wouldn't be permanent just for like a year so she is properly trained, I heard that they start telling you when they don't need the cage anymore anyways.

"Thanks again Niall, you've made me feel like anything is possible, like miracles do happen!" I smiled realising what I had done for this young girl.
