Karen didn't inherit Gab's habit of rolling her eyes at you. but her acting like a fully grown woman which looked so out of place in her lithe, twelve year old face was more effective.

i felt like somebody just splashed a bucket of ice water on my face.

i almost leaped from the bed.  a job interview!   how had i forgotten? i groaned inwardly as the digital clock on the bedside table turned to seven.    my interview was eight am sharp!

last friday, i saw the for hire ad in town  (on a part time basis of course.)

inquired for it, and was told by the frizzy haired lady who was at the counter, to come back there the next day for the interview.

god, and it almost slipped my mind just because of a stupid dream!

i leaned my head on the sliding glass door of the bathroom. waiting for the cold water to turn hot in the shower.  it had been almost a month since the three stuck ups had moved to switzerland.

three weeks that i hadn't seen nor heard any sign of them.

and just when i thought things couldn't possibly get any better, the dreams started.
