After 2 unforgiving hours of math homework and S'mores pop Tarts I dozed off, and next thing I knew my alarm was ringing and I woke up in a mess of crumbs and papers. I shoved the papers off my bed and threw the pop tart into my trashcan before getting ready.

Falling asleep in the middle of math homework and skipping dinner calls for a bum day. Which also means looking as though I haven't showered in a week and I've also done at least 12 different hardcore drugs 15 minutes before school, with light mascara and some blush.

I put my English, History, and Science homework in my binder. Luckily I'm an aid first period and I can do all my homework then. I go downstairs and see my mom already down there dressed in her business lady pantsuit, being extremely generic, standing in front of the coffee maker. She turns around, "Why'd you put on makeup before you got dressed?"

"I am dressed Mom, I'm 'bumming it.'" I frown and cross my arms leaning against the doorway.

"Well bum yourself back upstairs and put on some real clothes. You're representing your parents with the way you dress, and if you dress carelessly you come off as careless, which in turn makes us seem careless."

I sigh heavily, "I'm representing myself Chloe Faith Mallon and if I want to come off as careless then I will, thank you very much for your input mother." I smile and walk past her to the cupboard and fix myself some oatmeal, blueberries and cream to be exact, my favorite.

There's exactly 12 minutes and 37 seconds until I have to leave for my bus and making oatmeal takes, on average, 3 minutes and 16 seconds on average, which leaves me exactly 9 minutes and 26 seconds to eat.

By the time I finish eating I have 4 minutes and 12 seconds left, might as well leave early and wait 9 minutes for the bus instead of 5. I make my way to the bus stop, which one senior, one other junior, and 2 freshman wait at also. I see one figure up there already, it's clearly a boy, not built enough to be the senior, oh great... Shawn. I understand he lives in my neighborhood, less then a minute away, but can he stop being everywhere I am.

He's a cool kid he's just making me nervous, I haven't had a proper conversation with him yet, and every time it's just us I feel the need to talk to him, but he's quiet, and I'm me. I am not one for carrying on a good conversations. I stop to put my headphones in, so I can have a reason to ignore him, and turn them all the way up. Can't Stand It by Never Shout Never blast into my head, okay turning my volume all the way up was a bad decision.

I reach the bus stop and I'm barely there for two minutes before I feel a tap on my shoulder, "What!" I say defensively and automatically go into my 'Ninja Mode', while in the process I successfully rip my headphones out of my ears and hitting my elbow on one of my textbooks in my book bag.

Shawn smiles, "Are you okay?"

I rub my elbow, "Sort of." I blush, "I just thought you were gonna attack me. I should probably turn my music down." I grab my phone and hit the volume button.

"What are you listening to?" He says while grabbing a headphone mabobber, "Oh, I love this song." he smiles and softly sings along.

My mouth drops open slightly, even softly singing he sound great, "Do you sing, like genuinely sing?"

He shrugs, "I dabble, and I also play a little guitar, why?"

"Because you sound really good." I smile. Just then one of the freshman walks up, Evelyn, I think.

She smiles and waves, "Hey Chloe."

"Hi, did you have a nice winter break?"

She shrugs, "Okay."

I smile, "That's nice."

Shawn looks at me, "Are you just nice to everyone?"

I shrug, "Pretty much, but I hate newbies." I smile then frown automatically regretting saying that. I don't know what type of humor he likes, "Sorry." I mumble.

"It's fine." He looks down at me.

You know, I've never really appreciated tall boys until I've actually had a tall boy this close to me. Oh my gosh, I just realized how close to me he is. First the knee, now the proximity. Honestly this is the most serious relationship I've had since 7th grade. I take a couple steps back and sigh, "Okay."

Eventually the rest of the bus stop kids make it there and the bus pulls up soon after and we all fill in our usual seats. I sit down next to Rae, "Hey, how's it going?"

"I got most of my math done!" She says happily, "I just don't get question 7." she pouts.

I shrug, "You'll get it eventually."

The bus ride went on with our usual casual conversation and at one point I had turned to talk to Shawn and he had headphones in, he's already into the anti-social Madison Lake High School Spirit, Whoo! The bus pulls to an abrupt stop in front of the school and we all file out one-by-one and head inside rather quickly. January 8th is not the warmest day of the year.

Once we get inside I decide to head to the library, I haven't been in a while and I've already finished all my books. I turn them all in and go to look around. For the first time in a while I actually have no books lined up that I want to read. I scan through the whole library, well at least the fiction section, before finding a book all the way in the A's my second time around. Asher, Jay Asher. I go to check out the book, realizing that I only have 6 minutes before the first class starts and I should probably move a little bit faster.

I shoved my book in my book bag and headed off to Mr. Ackery's science class, the one I aide, early, as usual. I pulled out my homework and got to work, finishing most of it well before the class was over. The day was pretty uneventful, I had lunch with Rae today and we talked about the usual stuff, boys, movies, books, that stuff. It was pretty boring, that is, until I got on the bus.

Shawn had made it there before me and as soon as I sat down he leaned over, "Hey Chloe I'm throwing a small get together at my house this weekend, I want you to invite some of your friends, and my friends from my old school are coming up. Do you think you can do that?"

I nodded, "Yeah definitely, but you've already met my friends, all two of them." I smile, "But I'll still invite them." I shrug.

"Cool." He smiles then turns back towards the front of the bus.

I've made a Shawn Mendes Playlist on Youtube, because there are no good ones and I listen to it, when I write, haha, obsession maybe. It's only got 15 songs but yeah, they're actually all Shawn!!! Anyways, Read and Vote and all that story stuff, Bye!! xoxoxoxo
