The Lost Child

Prologue

There are three things in this world that balance the gods and humans alike: The Thunder of Life; the Triton of the Tides; and the Ribbon of Death. Each item is here to keep the gods in check, the most powerful of them all that is. The top-tier gods: Zeus, god of the gods; Poseidon, god of the sea; and Hades, god of the underworld. Each artifact is gifted to the humans so there is a balance and if there ever was a war between the mortal realm and Olympus, the mortals could at least stand a chance. These items however had been lost for ages. It is said that the Thunder of Life will present itself when there is a storm around the chosen mortal, the Triton of the Tides is in the deepest darkest part of the oceans, but the most mysterious of them all, the Ribbon of Death has no specific way or theory on how it is found. In these items absence the gods, Hades and Zeus, had decided to grant a special gift to two families. The Lightning family with the gift of time and darkness, and the Lumen family with the gifts of angelic light. For ages there has been no quarrel between the families or the gods. That is, until one of the artifacts had been located.

Cereza Lightning, the last Lightning, had located this artifact some fifteen years ago. Twenty-four years ago, there was an attack on her family and the titans took her in. Ever since, Cereza has hated the gods of Olympus. The artifact that Cereza located the titans never looked much into it other than the fact she is more powerful with it and, so far, the only one who knows how to use it. Cereza grew up around the titans and became one of their most deadly warriors. Every mission she has been assigned, she succeeds in achieving it. She has never failed an assignment, until she met a certain god.
