"Sit down." I looked at Austin. Still no response. His eyes were just looking intently at me, and I almost wanted to look away.

"Austin, if you're not going to listen to me, this won't work out." I sighed and shook my head. Austin just said nothing, as he just stared at me again.

"Austin, sit down, or, do something, please." I almost begged. He raised his eyebrows as if he as saying, "Are you kidding me, woman?".

Oh, just to let you know, Austin isn't my boyfriend. It's my dog.

He is 4 years old, and he STILL doesn't know how to sit when told. I've been trying for years. Even blackmailing him with treats and walks don't work. That thing doesn't care anymore.

The phone rang, and I dashed to get it. Maybe it was Claira, saving me from boring Saturdays again. Ever since my parents were cool to let me live on my own, I've been thrilled to be emancipated-

But sometimes, being alone has its consequences, especially when you've been alone for too long.

"HELLO?!" I answered, crossing my fingers, hoping it's Claira.

"Hey, Fluffball, wanna go shopping?" that familiar voice saved me.

"YES. I've been dying. I'm so bored!" I whined.

"Austin still doesn't wanna sit down?" Claira guessed.

"Mmhm." I sighed. She knew me too well.

"I'll save you out of your misery. Be there in five." She hung up, and I smiled in joy.

Claira is the most amazing friend and the most shopaholic person I've ever met. She always kept me busy socially and financially. Her mother's an accountant, and her dad's a high socialite businessman- can I say perfect?

She has gorgeous red hair I've always been jealous of. It's not that carroty red that looks orange- it's actually red, and when it's wet it turns mahogany. Her green-blue eyes always commented her hair, not to mention her not-too-pale, heart-shaped face.

Claira always had boys following her, but she claims I'm her number one priority and she always claims she's too busy finding me a date to date herself.

After hearing all that, you must think I'm not self-reliable. Well, I'm the exact opposite. I've been keeping the house clean for 2 years, and I haven't had much parties- and I'm emancipated. I have a steady job, since I run my own clothing store named 'Hysteria'. It's been going good, actually, since college girls always seemed to blow their money on clothes. I'm only seventeen- I go to school and everything, but it's been such a good two years for academics and business.

I got my purse, and I had a feeling that Claira was going to take me somewhere big- so I stuffed in as much cash as I could. I put on a tank top and a lavender leather jacket, and put on dark jeans. I grabbed my dark-tinted sunglasses, and locked the door just in time to see Claira's orange convertible in my driveway.

"Hiya, Kayles. Love the hair." She smiled and played with my long, highlighted hair. I volumized it last night.

She drove into the highway, and I had no idea where we were going. She claimed we were going to Seattle. We talked about our dreaded Trigonometry test we were having on Monday- we both didn't study. About two hours later, we arrived at this big town in Seattle that were full of shops and scenery.
