"Mom, I'll come visit you next time, okay? I-"
"Why, is there a boy there?" she asked sarcastically. My eyes widened for a sec.
"No..." I lied, "I'm just really busy... with the clothing store and all." I lied again. Some of my hired staff were working today.
"Oh, alright. But I have to see you soon." She reminded me, and hung up. I sighed in relief.
I heard his feet shuffling upstairs. I think he just woke up. I heard Austin's bark. "You can use the shower!" I yelled from downstairs. He didn't reply, but I heard the warm water soon enough. So I went to the kitchen to come up with breakfast. I decided on pancakes and fruit. I mixed the batter, poured it over the pan, and made about 4 huge pancakes. Then I sliced up strawberries, put blueberries and raspberries in a bowl, and I dug out some whipped cream from the fridge. When I was done setting the table, I heard his feet again, coming downstairs and into the living room. I turned around. "Hey-"
I froze.
His dark, shiny hair was glistening with warm moisture.
His face looked refreshed and relaxed, and so handsomely attractive I may have fainted.
His tan brown skin didn't even have a flaw in it, and his lean muscles were definitely defined.
No words could have described his well toned stomach, divided into six, healthy squares.
Oh, and guess what.
He only had a thin white towel on.
I guess he knew I was staring. I mean, I was dead silent and unmoving for about five minutes.
Five minutes may not be that much, but it is when you're totally staring at someone and they notice you immediately.
Isn't it every girl's fantasy, to have a warm, hot, clean guy who just came out of the shower with just a towel on?
Well, if not... it's kinda my fantasy.
I could have drooled.
That would have been attractive. Notice the sarcasm?
A smirk tugged on his face. He opened his mouth to say something, but he close it immediately after the very threat of him laughing started on him. I snapped out of my reverie. He was struggling very hard not to laugh.
"Er..." I hurriedly tried to turn away embarrassed, which resulted in me spilling orange juice all over the floor.
I saw in the corner of my eye that his hand flinched towards his towel.
"NO!" I yelled, making him jump. I surprised myself, too, by shouting so loud. "I'll get it. You-you... you just stay there." I cringed at my stutter. Brydon didn't manage to hide his amused smirk this time. It should have hit me that he did that as a joke. Pretending to reach for his towel to clean the orange juice. Just for my reaction.
Jerk.

I got a bunch of Bounty paper towels and wiped the juice off from the floor. He watched in amusement. I sighed. When I was done, I handed him his plate, and gestured towards the fruit and whipped cream. I was still madly red from embarrassment. Austin found his way downstairs, wagging his tail viciously and trying to climb onto Brydon's lap.
"Down, boy." I said to Austin. He did as he was told, so I got out a treat and threw it to him. As he happily munched on his treat, I went over to the table with my plate and I loaded up on fruit and whipped cream. I turned on the TV and, like Austin, happily munched on my breakfast.
