CHAPTER 1 :

Maggi's POV

I am in my bed listening to music when I heard a noise from downstairs. I got up and check if something's wrong. When i was about to open my door I hear my mother's cry and my dad's voice so I stop on my tracks and listen very carefully to their conversation. I know eavesdropping is not good, but curiousity killed the cat.

"Are you serious about this?" I hear my mom said while sobbing

"Yes, and I want to take Maggi with me." WHAT?! I can't understand? Take me with him? Where?

"Please don't do this Ralph! You can leave me but don't take away my child!" she half yelled , half crying

"This is final, I'm done talking with you. So I will call Maggi and we gotta go." My dad said firmly.

The moment I hear their entire conversation, I regretted everything, from the moment I eavesdrop in their conversation. So they are separating? How can this be? I thought my family is problem-free. So how come?

I hear footsteps heading straight to my room. I was about to lock it when it opened. There it revealed my father with his red and puffy eyes, obviously crying.

"You heard everything?" my dad asked. I didn't answer his question instead I push him out the door, but his hands caught my arm.

"Go away! I don't wanna come with you" I said. I didn't notice the tears streaming down my face until my dad wipe it.

"Just please, listen to me, okay?" my dad said with pleading eyes. He know that that is my weakness.

"Just not now dad, okay?" I said. "I don't think my heart can handle so much pain right now." I added and he went out the door.

I sat on the floor and cried. Why the hell is this happening to my family? Is my dad cheating or my mom? Many questions left unanswered, I need answers but who the hell am I going to talk to? An idea came to my mind. My sister, I know that she knows about this.

I was about to grab my phone when it rang. I checked the caller I.D and saw that it was my sister calling."Just in time." I thought.

"Mags? Where are you? Wherever you are right now, don't come home." my sister said

"I know everything." I said then the tears that  I was holding, fell. SIlence came between us.

"I'm going home." she said then the other line went off. I sighed deeply and sat on my bed.

After a few minutes, I heard a knock on my door. I opened it and my sister hugged me.

"I'm sorry Mags." she whispered in my ear.

I told her everything from the eavesdropping part to the end, she remained silent and just listens to me.

"You knew about this, Nics?" I asked, breaking the silence between us. She just nodded and hug me.

"I knew Mags, I just don't think , telling you this would be a great idea." Monica said

"You knew all this time, and you didn't bother to tell me?" I yelled and cried. Ghaaad, I'm such a crybaby.

"It's just that -- This is for adults only. You're too young to understand this." she stated

"Too young?! I'm 15 for crying out loud!" I shouted at her with venom on my voice. She looked taken aback. Nica was about to say something but I cut her off. "Just give me some time alone, Nica." I snapped then pointed out the door. She went outside and I lock it.

I fell to the bed and cried. Sleep is the only thing that could help me right now. Maybe it couldn't take away the pain I'm feeling right now but it will let my mind and body to rest for a short period of time.
