CHAPTER 2 :
Maggi's POV
Today is the day that I will be going with my father. Yes, I agree to go with him, I'm not really bothered that I will be leaving my mom, my sister is taking care of her anyway.
"Mags? You ready?" my sister asked, I just nodded then zip my bags. I took a last look at my room, I will definitely miss this. I headed out to the door and saw my dad, mom and my sister looking at me.
"Let me help you with that." my dad offered. I handed him my two bags and bid goodbye to my mom and my sister.
"I'm gonna miss you lil sis." Monica said while hugging me. I knew she is trying to fight back her tears and so am I.
"Me too." i said then smiled at her. It is my mom's turn to hug me.
"Honey, call me when you arrive at the place, okay?" my mom said while silently crying. I just nodded and she kissed me on my cheeks. "take care, okay?" she said and I made my way to my dad's car.
"Where are we going dad?" I asked
"New York, I bought a house there." my dad said glancing at me with his rearview mirror. Omg! New York? As in New York? One of my favorite place. Don't get me wrong, I've been to New York many times but I've never stayed there more than 2 days.
After a few more hours, my eyes got heavy and I let sleep took over me.

"Mags, we're here." my dad said while shaking me. I blinked several times and let myself adjust in the brightness.
The moment I stepped outside the car, my jaw dropped. I saw a house , 3x bigger than my mom's house. I look at my dad and saw that he was smiling brighly at me and I smiled in return.
My dad let me choose any of the rooms and I choose the room next to my dad's . My room is filled with bright colors and it is 100 times bigger than my old room. If my friends we're here, they would really insist to spend the night here, -- wait?! my friends! I forget about them, they actually visit me once but I messed up, I'm not really in the good mood that time and I snapped at them. I grab my phone and called them.
"Maggi! Where are you? We're here at you're house." i hear Stef's voice from the other line
"New York?" I said unsure
"What the f--- are you doing there ,all by yourself?!" I hear Alexa shouted, Omy! I forgot to tell them about our situation right now.
"Answer!" Stef screamed. Ghaad, this girls are driving me crazy. So , i told them about my dad and our situation right now and they seem to be pretty calm.
"Okay. Just don't forget to text or call us, anytime , ok?" Alexa said.
"Roger that!" I said then we all laughed. I'm gonna miss this girls.
After a few more minutes we bid our goodbyes and hung up.
"Mags, dinner is ready." dad said. I just reply a quick okay then went to the dining room.
-- At the dining room --
"You will go to school tomorrow." dad said . Tomorrow? isn't it too early?
"Tomorrow?" I said, unsure. He just nodded and continue eating. When i was done eating, i placed my dish at the sink.
"Goodnight dad." I said, kissing his cheeks. I went upstairs and change into my pajamas.Tomorrow will be a tiring day, New york means, new friends and new life .
