Harry Point Of View

It was only a few minutes before the doors to the kitchen burst open, a few men and a woman running into the room followed by a few police officers. I hadn't realised I was clutching Sandy to my chest until she was removed. "NO! SANDY!" I jumped up but a police officer grabbed me around my upper ribcage, forcing me to watch as they hastily performed CPR on her lifeless body. "She's not breathing!" I heard the girl shout, reaching out for one of those breathing masks. I felt my knees give way and I would have fallen if the officer hasn't had a good grip on me. My sobs rackets through my body, hardly able to get a breath in as I watched the paramedics search for a pulse. "It's weak! Very weak! I can hardly feel it!" A guy shouted, they were acting as though I wasn't there, as though the things they were saying weren't breaking my heart more and more. "Let's get her in the ambulance!" Sandy's limp body was placed on a stretcher and they ran her out, that was when I felt the strength in my legs once more. I stood up and ran out after her, this time the police officer letting me go. "Please, please let me ride with her." I grabbed the female paramedic's arm, my eyes pleading. She gave a small nod and moved so that I could climb in the back. I ignored the crowd that had gathered, the reporters that went silent as soon as they saw my tears, the fans who were shouting at me. I sat down beside where Sandy lay, reaching out and wrapping my large warm hand around her small cold one. I intertwined out fingers and watched as the paramedics tried their hardest to get her breathing and her heart beating again.
I tried to stay quiet, tried to keep my sobs down, but it was harder then it seemed. I swore my face was going red, and I didn't even realise that I was holding my breath until the female paramedic turned to me, placing one of her hands on each of my shoulders. "Mister Styles. You need to breath, take a deep breath in and a deep breath out." I shook my head, choking out a sob that sounded almost like a dying cat. "S-Sandy. You need to h-help Sandy!" I tried to move her hand towards the blonde haired beauty but the paramedic shook her head. "We don't want to lose two people today. The guys are looking after her, but you have fans and people who look up to you. You need to think about them. Take a deep breath, Harry." I hardly heard what she said, I was gone the moment we don't want to lose two people today slipped out of her mouth. "Life support. Will life support help her?" The lady let out a deep sigh and crouched in front of me, her eyes moving over to where I clutched Sandy's soft hand. "Life support will keep her barely alive, but she has extensive bleeding in the brain. There is practically no chance that she'll wake up." I felt the ambulance screech to a halt, the back doors flew open and Sandy's hand was pulled from mine. The lady stood up and I followed her actions, quickly grabbing her shoulder to stop her. "Do everything you can. Keep her on life support and no fucking matter what, do not pull the plug." I expected her to get angry and shout at me for telling her how to do her job, but she simply nodded before running in after the other paramedics. I reached up to rub my eyes when I felt that my cheeks were still wet, the tears just wouldn't stop. She was alive, that gave me a little hope, but when the lady said that there was almost no chance Sandy would wake up, that crushed my hopes again.

I took in a deep breath, calming down my rapid breathing ever so slightly as I pulled the curls that hung in my eyes back and tied them with a band on the top of my head. I pulled my jacket further around me and stepped out of the ambulance, only to be bombarded by shouts and flashing lights. I tried hard to block them out, jogging over to the hospital doors. A soft breath left my lips as soon as the doors closed behind me and I was greeted with silence again. I walked up to the counter, hearing a few of the other nurses murmuring about who I was. "Sandy Horan?" My voice was barely audible, raspy from all the crying. The elderly lady looked at me with sympathy. "She's in surgery. They're trying to stop the internal bleeding. Please take a seat." I nodded at her and stayed silent when all I wanted to do was fall to my knees and cry, or hit myself. If I hadn't bought Kendall today, this wouldn't have happened. We wouldn't have fought, I wouldn't have been kicked out and Dan wouldn't have hurt Sandy.

This was all my fault.
